Ok but like, Beffica made a gamer move to also make dirt on herself too so she also seems targeted, and not the bad guy here. And like another comment said, Journalist/Player never got the tea spilled about them from Beff, so they're like the scapegoat Beff set up ((unless this was before the events of the game, I think I did see Eggabelle/Lizbert in the chaos))
Beffica is one of those characters that I both love and hate. Her cruelness and inability to stay out of someone's grumping privacy is what got her so alone, and she doesn't seem to learn. But at the same time, I was almost charmed by her the whole way through her sidequests. She's so awful, and I love that.
I quite like her because she seems to have some sort of twisted sense of justice. She thinks she’s doing the world a service by being the keeper of information. She doesn’t believe that secrets shouldn’t exist and she feels almost obligated to find dirt to the point that she feels it’s an essential part of her personality. To the point that she blames others for trying to get away from her

Your headcanon is backed up a bit by the game, as A:in the event where the snacksquatch vandalized the camp, it's those two who saw it, and B:I might be wrong about this one, but isn't he like the only character she doesn't have you do a dirt-gathering quest on for her?

Here’s a theory I have. Beffica was raised by a mom who was a gossiper. She learned her skills in order to have her mom actually pay attention and actually care about her. But….she made enemies too.
I've been bothered by what everyone else's secrets could be, so here are my theories! -Filbo's is already in the video. -Wambus' is also in the video, but it's a reference to one of his side quests. -Gramble's could be his sleepwalking habits, but I feel like everyone would already know about that. If not that, then maybe it has to do with his beef with Wambus. Maybe he steals Wambus' sauce because that's what he eats to stay alive. He doesn't eat Bugsnax, so what does he eat? -Wiggle's is literally the main point of the video. -Triffany's could be about either her stealing skulls to keep as decorations, or that she was jealous of Cactriffy (after learning about its existence). But neither of those could really start drama. I think this one's stumped me. -Cromdo being a drug pusher? Possibly. That or she's trying to expose him of all his crimes, despite saying that no international laws apply out here. -Beffica can't really get anything on Chandlo. It's proven in-game. She'd probably have to make up something believable. Edit: Nevermind, I just remembered that Chandlo likes "rager parties" which are parties that involve drugs. Maybe Beffica could expose that? -It might seem obvious what Snorpy's is, but Beffica said that him crushing on Chandlo isn't a secret at all (and I don't think she's heartless enough to force him out of the closet). I think his was barely visible in the video, something about clothes (I'm assuming it was him because of the yellow writing). I think Snorpy steals the Grumpuses' clothes to put tracking devices on them. He has admitted to putting a tracking device on his own sibling. -Floofty's is already in the video. -Shelda's would DEFINITELY be about the fact that she's a fraud. -Eggabell's is partially visible in the video, something about her cheating on... Someone? Possibly Lizbert, but that brings up another question... Who is Eggabell cheating with? Or, if Eggabell is cheating with Lizbert, who was she dating beforehand? -Lizbert is also difficult to get dirt on. After all, she's famous. Beffica would probably have to dig really deep for that one.

Probably his crush on Chandlo? While everyone knows about it and it’s not super hidden, Snorpy does seem like a VERY private character and that probably set his anxiety off big time. Also with him showing up with the line “who wrote this?” I bet his conspiracy theory brain was goin a million miles a minute. Sorry for the paragraph lol

in the corner when it has all of the pictures, there was one in yellow that said "clothes" (assuming its snorpy because of it being yellow) it could he steals grumpuses clothes to put tracking devices in them (somebody else commented this but i just wanted to reply saying it)
What I got from this is that Beffica had a friend called Kadee, and that they betrayed her. She still has a burning anger about this, and takes it out on the citizens of snaxburg.
I'm torn on Beffica. I get why people don't like her but I liked her a lot! The longer the game went on tho the more she kind of took a backseat and didn't do much so she wasn't close to my fav. My first reaction was to hate her ofc because of how she treats Filbo. but then she just like calls you Bestie and makes you feel really nice and it does feel like you're her best friend! But like... I know her friendship is totally unstable lol like if the Journalist did one (1) single thing, even on accident, to piss Beff off you know she would hate you forever and treat you like garbage.
