It makes sense, losing any sibling can be a terrible experience, even if they argue, or bicker, or fight physically or verbally. Siblings are siblings, whether they want to or not, they're the closest people you'll have in your life no matter what, they're with you for your whole life. From the moment your born, till the day one of you die, Siblings are constantly viewing what their other has accomplished, but to have that taken from you. To have a sibling, taken from you, can wound even the most stoic of people..
i heard apparently they were having a issue with putting it in which is why it took so long (i think it was about how far their characters were away on the map?)
Shelda and floofty’s friendship goes so underrated. They overcame complete disagreement to find not just peace among each other, but also became so close. They found they could be better when they worked together. From floofty’s general antisocial attitude and shelda’s need to be more than she is, they made peace in themselves too from letting their pride fall. They are definitely my favourite characters.
I never thought I'd cry about some random videogame character named Snorpington Fizzlebean but the emotion in "Snorpington is *dead* " coming from someone as cold as Floofty...
I didn't expect Floofty getting lines for this situation to end up being by far the most heartwrenching of the bunch, but hearing someone as cold and calculating as them genuinely shaken and upset at the death of someone they formed a surprisingly solid bond with (Shelda), or so rattled by the loss of their brother that they _immediately_ consider simply taking their own life as well, is so incredibly powerful it's the hardest I've cried at any of these lines. Whoof.
Shelda & Floofty's are really interesting. Yeah, they're enemies, but as the story goes on it seems like they end up seeing each other's positives, and it's mentioned here. Shelda realized her flaw, and promised in Floofty's honor to just be herself -- that's so neat. Floofty also accepts their mistakes, regretting them, and ends up appreciating Shelda's knowledge (or, well, how she wasn't afraid to share it). I love their line "After all, nothing known is useful if it is known alone."
Cromdo and Beffica don't have any new lines about one another's deaths, probably because after the dlc their relationship is the only one that's really sour. I'd be interested if they ever do another dlc or a sequel that expands on there relationship, especially since Cromdo is a dad and Beffica's teenage girl personality.
Yes, Beffica is an adult around her mid to late 20's, but I agree she needs DLC because people just want to look at her on the surface All of what she does is self defense, old habits, etc. and idunno, I relate to some of that, so hearing my brother and other folks say they wouldn't regret killing her off just kinda hurts
@@Peachyshork A lot of people miss Beffica's more complex emotions because she doesn't dweel on them much. She had a lot of fake friends that merely hung around her for benefit or pity, she probably became paranoid after she discovered one or two group of close friends we're being fake, and that paranoia led her into a desperate need to keep people at arms reach and be fully unable to trust them, which is also probably why she never explicitly tells her issues to the main character, rather just hinting at it with an air of gossipy drama. This also is a self-fullfilling phrophesy of sorts, Beffica can't get any new friends because she can never trust them and will constantly break their privacy trying to find what they REALLY think of her, because of this friends start disliking her, souring the relationship, in the end when it finally breaks she feels validated in her distrust.
I need more people to start talking about floofty and shelda because oh my FUCKING GOD. 0:35 Shelda genuinely sounds so fucking sad saying this. Or maybe I’m just insane. I think I’m just insane. Darn.
I am presuming that this is new dialogue they added because they got the voice actors back for the DLC, but in order to get some these dialogues I guess you would have to skip doing the side quests and broken tooth. Otherwise the characters who have their side quests completed can’t die.
Hey, I saw you had the audio files for the grumpus deaths etc in a google drive file, would it be possible to extract these lines without music as well and throw them in there? (It looks like most of the audio files on the bugsnax wiki are broken and I'm looking for specific lines for editing some projects.) Just a question, if you can't that's totally fine, I'll just keep looking!
