Buick-1996 Final Curbside Chat with Ed Mertz (Number 66) 

This video, number 66 of a multi-tape VHS series, presents a “Curbside Chat” with then General Manager of Buick Motor Division, Ed Mertz. Ed joined GM in 1960 as an Engineer and ran Buick from 1986 until his retirement in 1996. This is Ed’s Farewell Curbside chat, as he retires and introduces the new GM, Bob Coletta.
Buick distributed these tapes to the broad dealer base once every four-to-six weeks or so. In this Number 66 tape for December 1996, in addition to a report on Buick’s current sales status, Ed discusses: status of The Dealer/Customer Satisfaction Program, Previews the 97 ½ Regal, Dealer Q&A, and good-byes and Season’s Greetings.
