Nice job, just I think that would be better to use cable lugs to attach all cables to battery, because this way you can swap faulty cells without ironing and avoid overheating of cells :)
Судя по комментариям, понимаешь, что только русские шарят, остальные только "вай как круто, молодца" %))) Он так усирался показать что именно от этого аккумулятора заводится мопед, что даже разобрал его прям там, лучше бы показал, идёт заряд или нет и как он будет вести себя на ходу. Ну и крышку нормально бы зафиксировал. ))
Yes, may b its possible, bocz of silent start system consume less battery Amps Self motor(brush dc) types consume upto 19Amps. This 6Amps battery can't use to be self start.
The conversation is very short and it was something like this. Wife: Honey, the bike won't start. Husband: she must have left the key on for a few days that drained the battery. Husband: measured the battery and confirmed the voltage only read less than five volts. Battery is dead but it gives me an idea to convert this battery to lithium. Also Husband: cut up old battery and checked all the cells and said they are deteriorated no wonder it was bad. Proceed to convert the battery to finish.
By your configuration which is 4s 3p = you might have 12 Cells with 6Ah capacity each. 12 x 6Ah = 72Ah battery (12V by your configuration) Those batteries have around 3C discharge rate, so that means your maximum drain from this configuration should be around 216 Amps. In my personal opinion, this is an over kill for a small/medium displacement car, but i'm not a Car Electronics guy to know, what a car asks to start. It's too late for this answer, but i hope you will get something useful from this.
@@ChrisPavlides In reality I haven't done anything yet but I was thinking of making a pack of supercapacitors to be coupled to a small lead acid or lithium battery, in any case what you said would not be overkill, the extra capacity of the battery would guarantee a longer life when the the alternator does not charge it with the engine off and a better longevity because the battery would be subjected to less stress. I have a fiat punto 1.3 turbo diesel and spending a hundred euros or little more for a project like this would not be too much considering that the system could be recycled and adapted to another car, I already have the tools to do it, I just have to buy connectors, cables and capacitors. I was also considering getting lipo batteries like those used for drones and remote controlled cars as they have a much higher discharge rate, but if I use supercapacitors the battery doesn't need to be very high performing.
That's what the BMS have to do. Stop the discharge at a specific Voltage and also stop the over charge at a specific also voltage. Those LiFePo4 BMS works around 2.5V - 3.65V
1 хоча б 2р потрібно на таких елементах 2 фєруму буде піпєц від стартерних струмів 50а+ і напруги 14.5в при зарядах коротше не виправдає себе по грошах ця затія.
