Hi we need your help i sent you a message on your email but they was no response i need help from watching your videos we decided to buy land we bought lad in the areas of Harmanskraal Norokie to be specific and we have been having headaches trying to find a reliable builder please if you can revere us to someone i would greatly appreciate
Hi, but I don’t know anyone in that area. What I can do is to pin your request on this video comment section and maybe someone will help you. All the best. 🙏🏾❤️
Also what people need to do is get local artisans to do some of the finishing work eg, instead of getting your cupboards fitted by some established cupboard supplier, find out from locals if anyone is a carpenter… then give them the design or picture of what you want, they often can build it much cheaper but same or even better build quality. My Mum did that when she helped my grandparents to renovate their bedrooms and kitchen cupboards in their home which is in a rural village…she found a local woodworker and he was so knowledgeable and had been building desks at schools for yonks and builds for other ppl and he was so reasonable that she paid half the price of what she’d paid if she ordered them from a formal cupboard business. Now she has so much more she’d like him to build eg outside furniture and benches but that’s for later
@@VelileLifestyleDecorTV well I’m learning from you as well. Also just observing how my Mum has approached renovating our grandparents rural homestead gave me an idea that when I do eventually own my own place, even if in city, use local artisans to do your finishings, furnishings and deco, not everything has to be from formal retail establishments& service suppliers…support local artisans
That’s what I am talking about. The haters will say we lying but it’s true. I am in a process of building a double storey too and intend to spend no more than R500k. It’s is possible. 🙏🏾❤️
@@VelileLifestyleDecorTV How do you do it Sis Vee and Katlego? Edit: Rural development starts with us investing in upping the standard of our homes/the homes of our mothers and fathers
@@nomaswazikamathe3047 never take a loan for something as low as that, best to save because interest will just kill you . Unless it's a 2million+ rand property , I wouldn't suggest a loan
Child, I have no money to waste on these huge multinational stores. I don’t mind spending my time doing the comparison too. Thina bafazi we don’t have money to waste. 😂💪🏾🙏🏾❤️
Hey Family, You can now contribute to or support my channel by sending a Super Thanks. Just click on THANKS BUTTON BELOW NEXT TO SHARE AND DONATE ANY AMOUNT YOU CAN. This will help me a great deal towards my travel in Rural areas for buying PETROL/GAS AND SERVICE MY CAR. I use a big car and it takes a lot of petrol but very safe for me on the road. Thank you for your support.
I thought I would see a finished house for R400k. However, I do enjoy your videos so much. I am intrigued by everything SA. I hope to come there one day soon. Thanks for your content!
The houses she was showing would have cost around that much to build, the structure, as she mentioned. The interior would cost extra. We added 2 bedrooms to ours house, one of them is a double story and super large, for way less than that amount.
@@baphithi ok, got it. The interiors in the showroom are very very nice. That explains why people from other African countries head for SA to purchase finishes for their homes.
Sanibonani nonke bakithi I hope you HAVE WATCHED ALL THE ADVERTS. I am saying this because it really helps Velile and it is much better than patreon . Here there is no need for you to contribute any money guys and girls. If you watch ALL the ads then you have LITERALLY contributed the funds she needs to pay for her expenses to travel and create this amazing content. WATCHING THE FULL ADVERTS IS YOUR BEST CONTRIBUTION. Just for clarification - I don't know Velile personally and I even don't live on the continent but I just believe in this vision. This is real nation building bakwethu. NAZO KE!!!!!!
Hay Bo Zakhe, Thanks for that little education about the adverts, I really didn't know they mean so much, in fact they were quite annoying because mina bengijahe ukubuza I video with my little data.
I build my house in the surbub it is expensive starting with the land to the building the price i used to build the house is twice the amount of someone building in the rural area
I wish we can jump the sandwich parts, then start from the total cost of the material, then the labour(Total cost)then get inside the house touring from dining room, lounge kitchen to see how big are the bedrooms, then we go outside to see the space remaining. I'm not convince to see houses by the road, yes they look wow but let's tour, get permission to the owners to get inside, from there we visit hardwares to see prices and building Brands.
Yes, you have done your job my sister, and we are motivated. For the first time one is truly looking into relocating both business and residence into the rural areas. Thank you for your practical tips too. There is a village chief I need to talk to soon, thanks to you sis Velile. 🙏🏾
This is the time when I Ululate Kikiki. I am super proud of this gang right here. You have made my day. Forward we go and I wish you all the best in life and in business. Rural gang, you motivate me. 🙏🏾❤️
Hi Velile, are you able to provide examples of houses with their actual or rather estimates of the building costs Or if you have done such video can you provide a link
The beauty of building from scratch is choosing your own aesthetics. Also my only concern to be honest is safety. In a stand alone house I get anxiety especially with the rate of house break ins we have these days. But building makes so much financial sense to my partner and I now..
Rural towns and villages are the safest in South Africa….that’s where the least crime happens compared to urban ares where ppl from anywhere just find themselves living next to each other but feeling no real connection and solidarity with each other (except in old and well established Black SA& Coloured townships). Ppl in rural towns and villages have known each other for generations, so outsiders aren’t just coming there and setting up house, they just can’t, as land ownership is through tribal lineage so even when crime happens in rural villages it’s easier to trace the perpetrators as everyone is known
Give yourself a chance. I live in a stand alone house and a big property in the rural areas and always have gates open for animals especially goats to come back home easily and I have never had a break in. All you can do is to trust. Thank you for watching. 🙏🏾❤️
@@thandisilec835 that truly gives me so much reassurance. That is the only thing stopping me now. I have so much PTSD from living in the cities. A very locked up lifestyle because safety is very much compromised
@@VelileLifestyleDecorTV Your channel has really brought us back hope. Big houses and big yards. It's actually possible, and also affordable. There's a few adjustments to make but overall we winning. One day all our villages will look like Venda. 😅
@@mrsakala my grandparents are in their early 80s and live alone on a large plot which is my Mum’s family homestead and they barely have anything happen except once had their sheep stolen. they didn’t even know they had someone come through and herd the sheep out of the kraal in middle of the night and they left the few cattle(my grandparents sell live sheep informally in the area). only when the handyman/herdsman who helps with guarding the livestock during the day noted the theft when he arrived in the morning. They did send out a search party and some of the sheep were retrieved and it was traced to a neighboring village where my grandparents then were able to approach the tribal leadership to investigate. More were retrieved and it turned out that the guys who stole them were intending to sell them to slaughter houses for money..:livestock theft is the thing that happens there most of the time. Ppl don’t have high walls it even fencing and that’s how you know, they are not trying to keep intruders out. Anyway just speak to locals in the village you intend to move to and find out if they think crime is a major issue. Not saying it’s paradise but it’s not crime infested like the cities
I love it. Africans doing things an african way. The cities are governed by western trained and controlled politicians wanting to do things like the western countries. Africa should have its own uniqueness. Can I as a white person and my family live in your rural communityy?
Hello, do you offer consultation? I am interested in visiting for three months with the possibility of starting a buisness or building a house. I currently resides in the USA. Much appreciated.
Thank you for what you are doing. We are South Africans trying to come back home. You gave us an idea. We did not know where to start until we saw this. Thank you. How do we get hold of you?
You have truly inspired me....u hv changed the way I see my province....looking at the Eastern Cape around sunshine coast....some very affordable places there...
I have a budget of 200,000 to build a 6 room house labour included,is ot possible or is the money to little,in my town we only hve build it ,i can cut down somethings e.g build in cupboards for now
I thought I would see quantity statements square meterage comparisons and downright drill down, except the nice classical music this was a disappointment. The diffrence between an R8 stock brick and a cheap one in the village is quality of material used.
I’m getting married to a South African woman and she has me moving from NYC to Joburg lol and I can’t wait, I would love to move to the Village, but joburg is where i would want to start, what about having “weekend” home in the village and trek back to the big city on the weekday? And also we should invest in things like solar panels and green ways of living. I love the village lifestyle, the only thing is getting fiber is challenging and rain network (internet 5G) hasn’t reached most places yet. But I love the lifestyle.
From the big Apple to Jozi. Listen, it’s a good move regardless. South Africa has a lot to offer. My son inlaw moved to Joburg from LA after my daughter convinced him it’s the best thing to do. He got a full time job in SA with benefits. Something he was struggling to get in LA as an American. About the village weekend getaway home, best plan ever. You get the balance of both worlds. All the best. 🙏🏾❤️
@@VelileLifestyleDecorTV Is it really hard to get a job - I’m interested in homes, decor, and South Africa but I heard it’s very difficult for an American to get a job to move
Halal, when Rubicon moves, you must know ukuthi we are not playing games anymore, Veli, the 7 bedrooms you are mentioning, does it like include family ounce, kitchen and dining room? At the beginning of the this video you showed some beautiful double story houses, remember I gave you a task to find out how much can be the cost to build such, I hope I'll still get some land at Tugela mouth. This is nevertheless a very informative video and very helpful as always. Shine on girl , I love you work, you've got passion for the villages like myself, I always tell my son's that we need to build messily in the rural areas because like is chip there before akulande ungiKhumbulekhaya iGoli selikushayile.
Yes it does and very big rooms for that matter. My cousin is almost finished building in our village and the house is a single story house but huge. The main bedroom has its own bathroom and than a guest bathroom also. Huge kitchen, big lounge that has been divided to casual and formal sitting, finning room, three bedrooms. A huge plot that has potential for extending the house in the future. 🙏🏾❤️
@@VelileLifestyleDecorTV oh the pleasure is mine. Just finished watching the School Tour and it’s amazing. I think main stream media went off the rails a long time ago and kudos to people like you for exposing the other side of Africa we don’t see often. I ma go beast mode and share your videos with every soul l know.
sisi Velile how are you? i will be coming home next year. i would like to know how i can buy a piece of land in SA. i am from joburg but would be pleased if you could advice. i would like KwaMhlanga
True, it costs time to go check the prices but rather do that, so that you know what you're paying for... Kodwa another Challenge is you can't go to WBHO, GROUP 5,MURRAY AND ROBERT'S, and and tell them that izitina zika bab'Skhosana are cheaper and you want to use him rather than build it
You mentioned that it is ideal to use locals for interior fitting like cupboards , problem is that some are not reliable not all but sometimes black empowerment does work.
i see people building houses in rural SA and grow old and die..leaving big empty houses with their children staying in the city, how about schools are we all want batter education for our children,if we can bring private schools good health care...then that might be helpful...i love the idea if you just want a second home to relex but not as real estate future investment for your children when you pass away
i have not even watched all the video. but couldn't wait to say great job . very informative and educating. South Africa leads the continent in every way. i hope you fix the crime, and fight poverty and drugs, educate those young South Africans who are consuming Drugs and killing their fellow Africans who came to earn living by hard work. we must talk to these drugged heads who are wasting their life and letting their country down. no to drugs, and no to crime, we must do awareness and instill hard work and honesty and kindness in their hearts. i salute you , an educated hard working lady trying to live her life to the fullest, and informing her fellow brothers from the country or the continent..Salutes lady.
I salute you madam Velile for insisting that people are better off rebuilding their rural areas instead of wasting away in cities where jobs are scarce, thats the spirit, the wayto go, kudos.😅
Beautiful I think you can get the same house in kenya Afro that amount depending on the location. Love watching your videos. I’m building for my parents then mine in rural too.
South African government must consider to care much rural. Rural development should be about building infrastructure that will make village people to start thier business that already exists in d urban such as hospitality. We r tired to be told about Joburg, Durban n Cape Town.
There are so many people on this channel who can testify that. It’s all about taking time to get the right suppliers, build cleverly and budget well. We always say, don’t rush the process but master the tricks to save cost. All the best. 🙏🏾❤️
building a home should be an inverstment for your children,I don't really see an investment opportunity building in rural south Africa...help me understand....
Retirement home, peace, stress-free, space, slow life, cleaner air.... Some of the reasons we have a village house and kids love visiting Emakhaya... I get your point though. Get the best of both worlds... FYI. Lehumo la mosotho le ko tshimung.
