Hello Robert....I knew you will not waste time to construct a beautiful and pleasant home for the pheasants. The bamboos were certainly hugh and not the usual ones that are in the forest and must have cost you lots of energy and strength to build it. Lucky pheasants to have such a loving master !! At the end it was nice to hear the pheasants acknowledging your hard work and seemed pleased with their new home. Robert they need more space. Also needed to be on the ground. During night they might settled up somewhere a bit elevated place such as trees. In tz case they still cn hv the cage. But you need to fence a larger area around yr cage so that they cn come down on the ground during daytime. You theese pheasant love to take sand bath to avoid ticks and fleas. Feeding not only grains but also live insects and other small reptiles including baby snakes. Otherwise their eggs can't hatch bcz no proper food like wise they feral in the forest ground. Its just like the jungle fowls (hens) like you breed at yr place. Hope you understand. Comment from Malaysia ❤
Yes me too think in that line half on the soil half on the platform floor make them more happy and avoid ticks and fleas as they take bath with soil and not with water because of their feathers 😂
Very beautiful birds Robert. You made a good business decision. I am sorry you lost the second hen. You made an excellent coop. Maybe they need a new nesting basket and some nest making materials? I hope they get busy making little pheasants right away!
