Wow!I make my dynamite the exact same way! Only I print on brown paper like the Canadian CIL dynamite was made. I use the wax and foam plugs too!

I had seen the dynamite using brown wrappings, but the little gremlin in my head knew that the expected color of the dynamite should be some shade of red. I could add a brown version of the same one into the templates and give people the choice! I might just do that! Thanks for watching @mistersable

The dynamite props were great fun, there is a running joke in the house now that dynamite smells of snickerdoodle! That paraffin coating was bonkers how fast it dried as it gave such a tiny working time it was a gamble with each brush stroke. I think if I was to do more I would not steal my wife's scented wax and go get one that brings up the temperature a tiny higher. I'm sure I'm going to use that effect on more things in the future, as I really like the look it gives. Thanks for watching!

But the print I believe you mean the font, I find a lot of my fonts over on Dafont.com select through the ones I like and then purchase the ones I use for videos :). This font used is called Docktrin and it is one of my favourites for projects like this.

Funny you mention that, I was watching another RU-vidr who was visiting a paint ball field I he mentioned the dynamite prop they used. I was like, oh! That is what Floki was talking about!

Really nice work! I was going to suggest wax, but I glad kept watching :D Also filling them with sand or something similar might be give them a nice feeling.

Thanks Evren! All the time I was building this I kept on worrying that these might very well be mistaken for the real thing! If I filled them with sand, oh gosh, I could just imagine the freak outs it may cause some if found by a person who didn't know it was a prop. It's funny because on the file on the back seam there is the words "This is a Prop, Not real" lol. Thanks for watching :)

Do paper towel tubes work too?

They would be very soft, and the labels are built to wrap around a 1" tube so you might run into some issues :)

What is he foam material used for the plugs?

Just EVA foam, you can buy the mats from almost any larger big box store. In reality anything that will hold the glue in place as it sets would be perfect. A small piece of cardboard friction fit should also do a similar job!

We made even cheaper ones from wood dowels, bundled them with burlap strings. I couldn't afford lumber.

I like to design things, so it gave me the chance to create a themed brand fro the dynamite and the box. Though you must have had a decent source for the wood dowels because 1" dowel would be quite pricey! Many ways to a similar destination, the joys of prop making! Thanks for watching Branchcore!
