Hi! My house stays under 75 degrees at all times because of the chins. Our AC is on automatic 24/7. To answer your question, no, it's not since the room temperature and humidity levels stay appropriate the chins sleep like babies. Although they don't use this playground to sleep in, they just hop around on it and then decide to go back in their cage.
They do pee and poo on it. It's normal, that's what chins do lol. Every time I put the playground away I vacuum it and you can take off the fleece to wash it.
I let mine out while I work. I love when they come sit on my feet while I’m at my desk. I love them so much. I just run a gate around my entire living room when I let them out. They can be cute fuzzy monsters. They ate my Wi-Fi cord once but I still love them.
Chinchilla Universe I think you're referring to the blue playpens. I got them on Amazon and I'll link that in the description. It was the only ones I found that were sturdy and the wire separation was small enough so a chinchilla can't get through 😀
