Build a Cradle for a Linear Rail Router Sled

I use my linear rail router sled a lot for flattening wood.
This time I had an opportunity to make a relief carving, so I wanted to use my router sled for that purpose. A while ago, someone asked me if it was possible to draw something by using my router sled. Also, some people wanted to know how to make the cradle of my router. That's why I made this transparent cradle.
Please enjoy this!

I just finished building the handrail on my deck ru-vid.comUgkxfQ5_mgwq6PcudJvAH25t-I4D-3cTPz4z and used this great little router to clean up the top rail before the final sanding and stain. It was light weight but packed lots of power. Either size battery didn't seem to make it top heavy and I'm a 64 yr old women so I really appreciated how easy it was to use...................... CORDLESS only way to go !!

I noted that you have a lot of empty space on the sled, which can limit the length of board you can process so I was wonder why you did that. Is it because you plan to install a dust extraction nozzle? If that is the case you would only need the extra space on one side...unless you plan on having two: one on both sides?

Video was good, I like the sled, but the whole “table saw without push sticks” made me cringe. I agree, if someone is putting on a video for others to learn, you should always demonstrate safe practices. I don’t know how you still have all your fingers. Like I tell my grandson…it only takes ONE military-second of not paying attention and its a done deal…finger gone or worse. Woodshop s are very unforgiving if you don’t respect the dangers they involve. Just my two cents, but other then that, great video and I love the cradle. I’ll be making one myself. A little commentary with the video would have been nice as well.
