In this video you'll learn to make a personal finance budget tracker so you can keep your finances in check.
Step 1 is to set up the inputs tab, where you'll add all your income and expenses. These include your salary, rent, groceries and more.
Step 2 is to make the dashboard dynamic using the SUMIF's formula. With this you'll be able to see a monthly breakdown for all your expense and income categories.
In step 3 you'll work on the visuals which include conditional formatting and charting. The conditinal formatting will be for positive and negative percentage changes, while the charting will be for creating two pie charts giving us the breakdown of expense and income categories.

I'm late, but I wanted to tell you that I have downloaded your template and used this tracker! I have made a handful of modifications. Notably, I have added a section for Assets/Liabilities for investment accounts and debt and created a line chart to track my annual growth (or regression). I have shared this video with several friends and family members, and my fiancee and I will use this budget. I also have recommended adding a budget section to spending under a goal (my fiancee is in law school, and her income is her student loans, so staying under a monthly allocation is a priority!). Thank you for your content; what you put on this platform matters and can benefit people's lives. I am looking into your financial course and look forward to what 2023 brings you. Cheers!

Hello Sir, I am looking for a formula that shows a list of names that are not trained in the process path that I select, the names are in B and the process paths are in D-M.. the formula I used to find the names that are trained INDEX AGGREGATE ROW. While dragging a Month with Year in a projection I found that the formula needed a certain format else the formula of sumifs did not give a result in numbers. I mean I had put in Jan-30, Feb-30, Mar-30 and it did not catch the numbers. Whereas for Apr-29 upto Dec-29 the format worked perfectly well. So just to get the result I keyed in the Jan-30 to Mar-30 as 01/01/30 ...01/03/30 and then the numbers were captured. It seems there is an issue with the format. Do let me know, in case there is a error while capturing the data due to format in which the month and year were keyed in. I followed mmm-yy format.

I may be mistaken, but are you talking about the inputs tab? Under the "Date" column, the format for the cells should be (d-mmm). In the "Month" column the format should be General) and the formula is =TEXT(Bx, "MMMM"). The formats for the header cells in the Inputs tab should be General as well. Now, on the Dashboard tab, the cell format for the headers of all the months should be (mmm-yy); if you type in 12/2022 it will show up as "Dec-22" but if you type in the name of the month such as December it will work (or at least it should). The formulas to show the data should look like this (here is an example for Base Salary in the 1st month - note I started mine from Dec not Jan) =SUMIFS(Inputs!$F:$F,Inputs!$C:$C,Dashboard!C$3,Inputs!$D:$D,Dashboard!$B5) Hope this helps!
