Build a Fast Flurry of 3 as an Entry

Here is a good way to build a 'starter for ten' in terms of a pre-planned pre-emptive entry into an unavoidable confrontation. If you can't avoid, escape, de-escalate or mitigate and you find yourself in that brief window of pre-fight confrontation then don't wait, attack your would be attacker with an explosive entry that will not stop until the threat is down and no longer ambulatory! Where possible, you need to be the 'feeder' in this relationship if you want the highest probability to prevail!

"It doesn't matter what colour the cat is, as long as it catches the fucking mouse" - Beethoven Edit: That Palm Blitz to grab, to continuous rear hand palm strikes (whilst causing a collision effect and controlling descent and providing tactile feedback simultaneously) is an absolute thing of beauty. Your explosiveness and ability to strike without telegraphing is absolutely second to none, Lee and your content is the best I've ever found when it comes to Combatives. Everything in the UC system is so well thought out. Big shout out to Jamie Miller and Michiel Mulder as well, their content is fucking superb as well. You're all brilliant Instructors.

I agree w/your points on Lee. Also, at the same time, there is no dignity in cussing. It creates a vulnerability to the next dimension entities that want to kill us. SPIRITUAL warfare is where it's really at. Art of war is know the enemy. Demons are real, and along with their illuminati slaves/servants, THEY are the PRIME/ROOT/BASE enemy in our spiritual war. Also watch out for the new age, inc alienism deception, as it is their #1 weapon against humanity.

What I don't hear often is a discussion of how in any exchange you are very likely to get hurt, most people are a bit delusional about it thinking if they remember enough techniques or get super fast etc they will come away having taken zero damage. In any sport however the opponent more often than not scores on you, ping pong, tennis, basketball etc the odds of completely aceing your opponent are very low, the mindset of being hurt, damaged, injured and coming out on top is an interesting topic to me.
@DZNTZ
@DZNTZ Год назад
In a serious physical exchange, “hurt” isn’t really a factor. When you’re fighting for your life, anything that doesn’t immobilize or render unconscious is superfluous. Adrenaline is so high that even severe injuries just aren’t felt until after the fact. Even broken bones may not register during the encounter. This is good for us, and bad for us. It means that we can fight through injury, but it can also mean the bad guy can too. Motivation becomes a factor at this point - someone trying to posture and act ‘tough’ may get a broken nose or cracked rib (or even just get gassed) and say “Enough, I’m done”. Whereas someone fighting to survive takes no notice of injury and fights to the finish. You ARE likely to be injured in an exchange, and this is one of the many reasons that avoidance is your #1 self-defense technique. But when the chips are down, injury is not an immediate game-changer - you WILL fight through broken knuckles, stab wounds, fractured bones, etc. if your life depends on it.

If a person has crossed the line and given up their rights, attacking yours, then going for their eyes should be part of any plan, including any blow to the windpipe. Controlling the person with a ranger chokehold (thumb and fingers firmly around the trachea) is also an option if they are not bigger than you. You are not moving if someone has gripped your trachea, trust me. Punching someone full force in the face can break your hands, remember. The metatarsals will come out of the back of your hand, the stronger you are.

Why is Lee using closed fist here? When I trained with him he taught palm strikes in favour of closed fist. His reasoning was that if you use closed fist on the street there is a high likelihood of breaking your hand. Since then I have only trained with palm strikes, on pads and the heavy bag.

If we secure a knockout and the attacker smacks the back of his head on concrete we could be turning a successful self protection situation into a manslaughter charge. Good self protection isn’t just about what happens in “the fight”, it’s about ensuring we protect ourselves against the aftermath.
