Amazing content. Seasonality on steroids. I love the way you present stuff and how well you explain. You got me thinking I can do thinkscript when really I'm just copying you. But I learn so much! Thanks, man. I appreciate you.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Can I choose any month to set up this scan from "Seasonal Analysis? If I want, should I start the scan at the beginning of the month or at the end of the previous month? Since I see the scripts state almost the same each month. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing; this looks amazing! I got the indicators and the scan set up. I'm trying to add the extra columns in the video to my watchlist. I want to make sure that I'm doing it right. I went to the small settings in the Search Results area > Customize > clicked on one of the custom under Available Items > copy paste the script > click on Add Item(s) > ok. Instead of the color background, I got colored font. I'm okay with that but I can tell if that's what you have on the watchlist that you presented in the video or not. Thank you again for your help.
Hi Monica - Thanks for the kind words! The "AddLabel" function will change the text color for dashboard columns. If you want to change the background color, that can be done using the AssignBackgroundColor function (both should work fine, as long as the logic is the same).
It was a struggle but I finally got it to work. I think. You only have to input/update the month on the seasonal analysis part right? I don't understand that part because the charts in the video had a banner that displayed info for every month of the year. The banner is not appearing on my charts btw. Also when I ran the weekly's only two symbols were shown. Does that sound right? That and the fact that that I don't get a number for the average percentage (the chart banner) leaves me with no confidence in what I have done which is frustrating because I really need a seasonal indicator. How do you get this to show bearish stocks?
Hi Victor - The Seasonal Analysis indicator is available for download on our website (this is the tool which plots the seasonal labels): www.tosindicators.com/indicators/seasonal-analysis
The first line of the code is input selectedMonth = 3; I'm guessing that to run this scan for the month of July I simply need to replace 3 for 7. Is that correct?
Hi Thanks for the video. I am also not able to download the file. The extension that downloads has .txt extension and not .ts. Think or Swim needs a .ts extension to recognize. Can you please provide the file with a .ts extension so to download
Scans cannot be imported into TOS. Inside of the .txt file, you will find shared links, which you can open via the "Open shared item" option in your top right menu.
Hi George - I just tested on my end and was able to get it to import without errors. Try giving TOS a restart, in case it was during one of their updates.
Same here; I was able to import the link without any issues. @TOSindicators, thank you so much for sharing the import url. I thought that I was going to have to squint and figure out the code for your video Whew! 😄
Hi, comment without the study to add the scripts in the simulator, it's a risk to add this live without testing the scan. Who can we reach out to get this in the simulator? Best Regards,
You can't test the scan in the paperMoney/simulator. You have to do it in the live environment. You would have to contact thinkorswim or Schwab about that but they will probably just tell you the same thing. You can review the watchlist in the live environment then take trades in the simulator if your like. The watchlist won't take trades by itself.
