awesome thanks this solved a problem for me, I don't have a table saw and was thinking I'd have to make a bunch of bevel cuts with what I had in mind to build. It gave one of those moments of relief when youve been trying to figure something out and then it all clicks when you see a solution
Rent, barrow or buy some some. I know that sounds rude but that’s kind of the deal when you want to make your own stuff. You can get started with cheap tools or second hand. Best advice I can give is buy what you need when you need it. Instead of buying a bunch of tools you do t need yet.
How long did the belt sander take you to give you the sharp edge at the end of the ramp? My brother was able to get all of the ramp done. We’re having a hard time with how to use the belt sander for a smooth transition from the concrete to the ramp. More info appreciated.
i deliver bulk food and there's one store that has a 8 1/2 inch step into the store i have to have someone from the warehouse to help me with all the things i bring in even with the big wheels on the hand cart still need help for someone to push up the bottom of the hand cart if i make a ramp like yours ill have no more problems
Thank for watching, in this case I just used outdoor carpet. This was just to aid in get into the house. If it’s for actual handicap purpose yes use some anti-slip additives to paint. You can find this sand like material at the home center.
Hey. Great to see an educational video to support access needs. Please could you change the word “handicap” in the title. I know you don’t mean to offend, but this term is outdated and could offend. Keep up the good work.
I sorry if your tool challenge. I what say there plenty of options to get tools. Rummage sales, second hand store. fb marketplace…. Only thing you really need is a circular saw and drill. Should even cost that much.
step 1. have all the tools from home depot step 2. have a wood shop step 3. be really fucking skilled step 4. build ramp gonna try to build this but the way to make the angle isn't clear to me. My grandma is 94 and needs something like this to use a walker to get into the house
