Stephen you really one of the greatest teachers out there.. Incredible hands on knowledge. Congrats on the ranking in the skool leaderboard.. Now I just need to through around some ideas because practical you just laid out the blueprint
Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for this video. It is comprehensive, clear and to the point. Loved how you have mentioned about the 25MB file constraint. You are awsome!
Great video. I would really like to see a short preview in the beginning to see what it is we are trying to make so I can decide if thats something i want to do.
WOW, excellent job! An end-to-end, useful SaaS business in just 1 hour! The cherry on top is having the API key dynamically inserted in the documentation 😊.
@@StephenGPope like in the real world, or businesses to say. Show us tutorials wherein you are doing clients automations and no code builds for them. Real life use cases 😊
Stephen thanks you so much, your content is very inspiring & insightful.. helping alot of people like us. Being a nocode person i was always thinking of ways to connect backend with frontend for learning purpose but your tuts are always helpful.Guiding community in right direction.Always keep posting .. thank you again..will follow you on community page. Great work 👏
@@StephenGPope How to create and design small, free and helpful tools for a website. Example: Keyword Cluster, Meta Title Generator, Meta Description Generator, Outline Generator, ...
@@StephenGPope I'd personally love to see complex systems. I really enjoy building everything you show as I follow you step by step. It really helps understand everything much better
Do more micro no-code saas video! Possibilities seem endless!! Btw, can Softr be used to create a file uploader so user can upload their video files using the Softr UI in stead of just copy and pasting the api key else where?
all that to sell a course... Good job. I specialise in partnering with creators to build courses and this is 1 of the methods I use to get a great initial conversion rate.
Great video Stephen thank you. Have you done a video on how to automate a blog to WordPress? There are a few vids about, but they are nothing like the quality that you would make. Would be great to have a video that shows you how to do it with airable, Midjourney etc and one that allows you to do keyword research and regenerate the images etc before uploading to WordPress. Just putting an idea forward. Cheers.
Hey Stephen, thank you so much for the amazing content. I'm currently following along with your tutorial, but I'm a bit unsure about where to add an app on Airtable for the automation using the code you shared, especially since I'm not a paid customer. Additionally, I wasn't able to clearly see the code you used in Softr for making the API call with Java and Curl. Could you kindly provide some guidance on this? Your help would be greatly appreciated!
Great video, Stephen. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Is it possible to simply add a condition after the HTTP call, to check if the resulting file is bigger than 25mb? It would save some ChatGPT tokens and simplify the flow even further
Thanks for the content but it's missing. You hardcoded the file URL in the automation to an existing file. Where is the part users are uploading their documents and webhook on Make picks up the new URL and passes on?
@@StephenGPope I think he means: where could a user upload their video or audio inside the SaaS so as to really use the thing? I get that they could of course send via HTTP or JavaScript but that doesn't work for most "normal people".
Great Tutorial! Im having an issue where CloudConvert is giving an error saying this: he operation failed with an error. convert (INVALID_CONVERSION_TYPE): This conversion type is not supported, export/url (INPUT_TASK_FAILED): Input task has failed 3:51 PM The operation failed with an error. [400] Invalid file format. Supported formats: ['flac', 'm4a', 'mp3', 'mp4', 'mpeg', 'mpga', 'oga', 'ogg', 'wav', 'webm'] I did everything you did and it works for the smaller files but not the bigger files.
I really enjoyed your video, thanks for that ! What about files that are still larger than 25mb after the CloudConvert module? Also, I have noticed that the Whisper module may give some text output that are not completely faithful and which may suffer from “hallucination” when the audio files are too long. How would you manage a poor text output in your case?
A super useful and explanatory video Stephen. I understand that in the payments section, there is a trigger that allows changing the 'Active' field status of user accounts based on Stripe payments and subscription cancellations. Is that correct?
Thanks for the video, quick question. I've built a site where companies can post jobs. When clients submit the 'job posting form' it adds their job to the 'job listing' that all non-logged-in users can see. How do I create a form that allows the companies who posted their job, to see only their job specifically and that it is live?
Amazing content Stephen, thanks so much for putting this together. I noted that the video ended without any details on how to control the active flag based on if someone has an active subscription or not? If a user creates an account, and doesnt pay, it appears that the record and active flag is set without having valid payments. Is there a way to address this?
what broke for you when generating the api key? You show it did nothing cut the video, then all of a sudden the api keys pop up. I am struggling to get the api keys to auto populate and the automation is giving an error. If you respond to this, I am happy to talk here publicly or privately if you want to connect with me off channel. Thank you, this video has been an amazing resource, along with your other content!
Stephen thanks for this great video. I'm having some trouble with the original file (the smaller than 25 mb. The >25mb file worked) we have to pass through the http module. This is the error I get from the Whisper module: mp4 [400] The audio file could not be decoded or its format is not supported. I went over the settings one time and again. And also made sure the file was .mp4 just like yours. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Amazing video and value as always.
Thanks Stephen. Have you played with other no code builders and how does softr compare on price .. e.g. glide/bubble.. I'll setup a free account and play
Great content as always! I have a customer that is asking for a solution that can handle over 50k row of data (candidates, jobs) he is a recruiter. Have you used airtable with data of that size? Is it gonna get slower? Please let me know your thoughts. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
at 14:30, I was not able to sync to 3.error.message since there's no data coming through the Whisper module. And why are you able to link the Whisper module to two separate modules without a router?
Having the email as a search filter for the website dashboard seems like bad practice, what if the user changes their email? They lose all of their history. A user ID would be a better solution
I guess using openai > whisperer is no longer free. I tried your example but found out along the way, I should increase current rate limits to use whisperer
I'm getting the 429 error. 429 - Rate limit reached for requests/You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details. Do I need to update to the business plan from the personal 20/mon plan? The file I sent was 3.3MB and error came up on the first attempt.
New to this channel and genuinely curious (not being sarcastic) - why does your thumbnail say $3k/day? Are you making that much selling this make subroutine api thing? It’s not covered anywhere in the video. Thanks!
@@StephenGPope got it. Thanks for clarifying. No disrespect or anything but as a new visitor to your channel I found this to be disingenuous and misleading. I’ve seen some other channels do it too, like showing a blurred out screenshot of a Stripe earnings report but then the video is not about making money at all. I genuinely appreciated your video, but I have to say I thought the content was going to be something else. I thought you’d be explaining an app you built in 60 minutes that generates $3k+. Of course, that seems “too good to be true” and turns out, it wasn’t actually true. I realized this about half way through watching the video. Take the feedback however you’d like!
@@fingerling.potato I get it, and I respect that. I'm a straight shooter and I made the thumb because I think its possible. I never made the claim that's what I did personally. But I'm not going water down the content or the potential of people to make money just because a few people are going to read the thumbnail a different way. Anytime I make a profit claim in my videos (which I have many) I show the proof (my stripe account) right at the beginning of the video. I made a choice when I made the thumbnail that my intention was to show what's possible. There are a lot of things people say I should have done, or should not have done on my videos. I should have said this, or that. I do my best and work from a good place. But the feedback is appreciated.
@@StephenGPope fair enough thanks for the reply. I see your perspective and I’m just commenting here from the peanut gallery so just letting you know how I saw it initially (I get that I’m just one person among thousands). Thanks for addressing and I’m looking forward to checking out your other vids that get into profit details! I find it interesting.
@@fingerling.potato I do appreciate the feedback and it all opinions matter to me even if I decide to take another path. I did specifically think of the misleading factor before I published = )
@@ginocote Some products are sold $2 on Temu and sold again on Facebook at $20. That is the beauty of marketing. Don’t be so negative it won’t help you attract success.
@@hxxzxtf Probably not either. Besides the various backend abstractions handled by Make, keep in mind that the entire frontend was built using Softr. The frontend of apps usually consumes hours of development and CSS work, including responsiveness rules.
