Yes you can acquire land anywhere as long as you are South African. Please do try. I am not sure what will be a fee to a chief but I don’t think it will be different than what is required . 🙏🏾❤️

I am not sure what you mean about laws on solar power” but Solar power has been used by choice by so many in SA and it’s happening even right now. Those who can afford use it. Actually the government is encouraging everyone to take that direction. I guess every country has its problems. How is your country?

@@VelileLifestyleDecorTV We have a bit of regulation on solar, typical African red tape. But there is also encouragement through selling power to the grid and bylaws 'forcing' people to put solar water heaters on their roofs to take a bit of stress off the grid.

Labour costs are not based on square meters. That’s the reason why the house was completed at a cost of R400k. Get locally-based experienced building contractor.

​@@danielmabuya7070 I don't think that price is with finishing, that most probably another R100k to R150k, all depends how expensive of a taste the owner has..

To start, she used blocks for super structure, so that makes a big difference in cost to build.. Yes it is possible to build at that cost.. I assume this is just the shell of the house, no finishing, cupboards, kitchen, appliances, tiles and stuff like that..

Yes to owning land, no to paying tax but we pay once off Levies to the municipality. We pay for electricity and find our way to access to water and proper sanitation system hence we build boreholes and construct septic tanks. Land is tribal land and belongs to the people who are originally from these areas. It is not open to foreigners so you might have to pay a lot of money to purchase land in the country side in SA. No one can take the land away. South Africa is different from the Western world and truly we don’t want to be like the Western world for many reasons.
