The BBX resides in a class of it’s own. A newly released chassis (BB-01) was a blast to build. This 2WD buggy is paired up with the Hobbywing Max10 G2 3300kv G3 sensored and Savox SC-1251MG low profile servo. Upgrades included is the Slipper Clutch (OP-2071) with a 24T pinion.
About the Model
The BBX is Tamiya's latest rear-wheel drive buggy, a powerful model inspired by Stateside full-size single seater racing buggies. It is based upon the realistic BB-01 chassis, which features a lower deck with flat underside, mounted upon which is a roll cage, frame and suspension; the battery pack is in a longitudinal position, and the motor is placed at the very rear, giving the rear traction a helping hand. The sealed gearbox contains a ball differential, while four aluminum cylinder oil dampers ensure exemplary performance. Our designers selected front double wishbone (A arms, 25-degree caster) and rear trailing arm (adjustable) setups for the suspension, and the stylish body is a polycarbonate six-piece design.
