It's such a breath of fresh air! :) I love seeing these diverse items. I sooo hope we get an African-inspired pack in the future, although I guess they'd have to choose either a specific African country or choose a more pan-African style and I can see how that might cause complaints either way 😅
@@willd.4808 Completely agree. I'm also Southeast Asian, and a couple years ago I balked at the idea of a pan-Southeast Asian approach because I didn't like that a certain Western animation studio went for that in one of their movies while also releasing another that focused on a specific South American country in another (both ended up releasing the same year). I appreciate what The Sims team have done with the pack though!!
I'm legit crying right now because the stilt foundation, shuttered windows, and pastel fences reminded me so much of the kampung house my grandparents used to live in (they've passed away since). The possibility of making real kampung houses instead of just cheesing it with Island Living and maybe Jungle Adventure makes me cry!!
I do love how the Sims creators have embraced putting 'worn' swatches or junky looking items as well. Those windows are amazing and is going to look great in some international builds!
I'm so happy when a world is inspired by something new. One thing I don't like about Sims is that it can be very Americany, which is understandable as an American game but as it's a sandbox game anything that includes more cultures or identities is always the best
I'm indonesian and feel so represented by this pack.. been playing the sims since i was 9 and i can't believe they make a southeast asian inspired EP ❤ it might be the only EP i want to buy directly after released
I am SO excited for the build/buy in this pack! I had the privilege of visiting Thailand & Vietnam a few years ago, & the more run-down swatches on some of these items really remind me of the local inns we stayed at. I just love the shapes & colours! Also, while I was there I did become a squatting toilet truther, & now I'm gonna use those in all my sims builds since I can't have one at home irl.
This pack has so many great new build items that can mix well with so many styles and other packs. I love that! I also do wish we got some matching wallpapers for those beautiful new tile floors.
25:01 Lunch boxes!!! I used these when I was in school. We had three breaks, and I would open one per break and it would contain a different food (snack or lunch food) Love to see it! I wish it were functional.
Thank you so much for the detailed reviews! Everything looks super gorgeous, loved that dark earth red colour too!! Wished we had more like that but I really like everything. Tbh I was sold the moment I saw the plastic chair 🤣🤣🤣🤣
the doors, windows, and even the buildings in the surrounding area remind me so much of old/traditional Filipino homes. And multi-dwelling households make so much sense for the SEA theme, cuz our households are multi-generational. I wish I have this pack😭
What Deli you don't want cockatoos and kookaburras in your house. Not to mention the spiders. Funny part is they have a type of cockatoo in Indonesia as well. That is where my Cockatoo originates from. Ty for the overviews and let's play, today. 3 Deli vids in a day made me sooo happy.
While I’m not Southeast Asian, my “adoptive” grandma is Viet! She’s technically my friend’s Ba Noi (grandma on the father’s side), i also call her my Ba Noi… I’m furnishing one of my apartments based on her apartment
Im actually really liking this pack so far. Im replaying an old legacy and i can see one of the gens being a landlord, but like slay. This and dreamhome decorator will be getting bought ❤
Here I was falling in love with the new plum swatches of everything and now they've got the marble game that I always played as a kid. that is so exciting and cute🥰
Commonly the squat toilet would be build in slightly higher platform than the rest of the bathroom/toilet, atleast in Malaysia is like that, so maybe you could try that in yr next build 😊
I'm with you on needing more muted colors. I like pastels, but I think I find myself using muted tones more often for walls and floors, and we need some more options of those. I also really like how the creators have been adding in the worn or old finishes to items too, it helps add a lot of character to builds.
I'm loving hearing your new song in the videos now! Also thank you for the great build/buy video! I love seeing all the items in greater detail like this.
It actually be cool if on all the damage, stains etc if it lowered the property's value and cost you money to remove them. It would make fixer upper game play so much easier. Not to mention more realism.
Hi Deli , I am glad that you are back for new Let’s Play. I been watching your let’s play season , Barbie and Stangeville videos Lately . i love them ! I also love all your videos ❤️
I like your overview on the items in this pack. I agree they should make the big door usable with an a security feature, like an alarm if someone not allowed tries to use it.
As a person from South America, I also don’t see a lot of my culture in TS4 and I love whenever they add different cultures, because I notice how similar different ends of the world can be. For example in this case, those high fences (the walls) are used a lot where I come from to divide different lots, while the typical U.S. wood fences, that are in the game, are never used here. I would love to see maybe in the future a pack that also represents South America, since packs like Jungle Adventure, don’t really represent were I come from. The colonial/old European architecture mixed with 70’s and modern buildings, that are more typical in Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and a lot more of countries in South America, would make really interesting build and buy features in the game.
17:56 if courtyard oasis had been included in an ep/game pack or even just a stuff pack and simultaneously added like markets or something and made it very north african inspired i wouldve bought it... but the existing kit just doesnt has enough items to build anything goooood
We finally have marbles and hopscotch. Kinda weird they add it with this pack, but I'm glad the kids can finally do it. Also really love the kitchen pieces, clutter, rugs, and paintings. However, kinda wished they would have added more indoor plants. So far they really nailed the BB part of the pack though. A lot of the items are still usable in different styles of houses.
The onky thing about build buy I didn't like is the office double door with the locks, the door os beautiful, but the gate doesn't fit everywhere, I wanted a swatch or a new door without is as well😢
Of course, I don't know exactly how the sims teams do things, but as a person who studies 3D game art at a higher vocational school, I really can not understand why they haven't included the floor tile swatches as wallpapers. It's practically no extra work at all.
Yeah. Sometimes I wonder if they get more caught up on numbers and amounts of things per pack. So they can’t go over a certain number of things or something. I don’t know!
HOW LONG CAN YOU LEASE AN APARTMENT AND CAN SIMS AUTONOMOUSLY MOVE OUT BEFORE THEIR LEASE ENDS (like if it's super dirty will they leave early or do they just revolt)
Can someone tell me how she levitated the camera in tab mode up to the next floor? I’ve discovered accidentally before, but I can’t remember what I pressed. 😭😭😭
I'm probably going to buy it for the build/buy and the neighborhood. I have no interest in playing as a landlord, so I'll probably just bulldoze the lots and use them for my own purposes. One thing I'm considering: EA still hasn't given us a cemetery lot type, so all we can do is have annoying ghosts on our lots or send our ghosts to the afterworld. I'm thinking of adding the ghosts to my families, create a huge rental property, and move all the ghosts into it. That way, they're still in the world, but they're not constantly breaking everything I own.
@@angelahegemannactually it's good for yr bowel, cuz it make yr business easier, u can do the same with sitting toilet by putting yr legs on small stool so yr legs kinda bend upward? Is that make sense
