Hi David - great video - and thanks for the detail on the high caps. I’ve just fitted mine in accordance with the high caps instructions - and the ride height is far too high (almost 4cm of ground clearance!!!) and was thinking about removing the spring collars - so it’s interesting to see you’ve played around with these too.
nice i have a question have u found out a way to replace the brushes cheaply ? if so could u do a video thanks please take more care of the car might buy it off u soon lol
Hi David, what a great review. Just love your very interesting videos. I have a small question. I also build the VQS with the optional damper set. And i noticed that it has a very high ground clearance. Did you shorten the Hi Cap dampers, using additional spacers in the damper body ? Keep up the good work. :-)
Hi Brad, yes I wanted to put the Tamiya 10.5 brushless motor in but didn’t have an esc for it. The torque splitter indeed only activates the rear brakes, so it’s a bit scary to brake. I reduced the throttle dual rate now.
Yes, quite happy. Because the chassis is more flexible then the Egress or Avante, it absorbs the rough terrain better. I think it will be a very good car for racing on a dirt or grass track.
