No "dead man" switch? Like a bracelet that plugs into something near the handlebar. That way if you fall off or something malfunctions the motor stops.
This is a thumb operated trottle. Removing thumb/hand stops the motor. He is just showing the bare minimum part count to run his project. You can add all the bells and wistles once its operational..
