Hi everyone, in this Sims 4 tutorial I will be showing you how to build a functional baby crib. I've also included a base game one and a bonus build where I show you how to build a kid's room.
The crib was originally designed by noni.simss (Instagram: / noni.simss . Thank you for sharing your creations. I've found a way to make it fully functional and wanted to share it with everyone, as well as provide a base game version ♥ Artwork is by SimSationalToo on the Gallery (No CC Artwork).

What cheats do you use?
Press Ctrl + Shift + C to enter these four cheats (enter them separately):
bb.moveobjects

Why do you delete the walls?
So the canvases do not snap and attach to the wall, same with the shelves.
How do you move items so they don't snap to the grids?
I hold the alt key on PC whilst I'm moving the items with my mouse.
What camera do you use and how do you use it?

two questions: if i put a toddler bed in will it work for them? and also can i do this on a second floor of a house or will it look weird?

Yes, I believe it should work if you use the same technique but add a toddler bed instead. In my Autumn Family Home video I did it on the second floor - the baby crib still works :)

Hi! On PC I hold the alt key and rotate the object with my mouse. Enable bb.movrobjects cheat. I use the Sims 3 camera.

Hi, I'm sorry that the sides are disappearing. This hasn't happened to me yet and I've done it a few times, even with other items. I'm not too sure what might be going on :(

Hi, the crib is not up on the gallery on it's own because it uses two levels, but I have a build called autumn family home where I use the crib. My gallery ID is bearandbun.

Sorry but you said "Island living" but the only functional object there is just of another pack. Why did you not just write it in the title?

You can use the bassinet from any pack and it will still be functional, but the distinct look with the bars in the thumbnail cannot be achieved without island living.
