Unusual to have problems with an Fms plane!! I'm shocked at the wrong sized link too!! I have the V3 model and it's been faultless, although at first I didn't trust those plastic cams to attach the wings!! But thankfully they have always worked perfectly, I love glueless builds and Fms are one of the best at this. And as of today I have bought the V4 from Banggood for £100 😄 Great video and great info!! Thanks for sharing👍😄
It was unusual indeed - but a quick fix , that first "CLICK" when turning the plastic bolts with the locking cams on shocked me a little, she flys so well - I think this one will always be coming to the field with me just for the fun of it.....
Yep it's a very versatile plane!! And it hasn't really got any vices!! Apart from slowing it down to land that is, been meaning to try flaperons on mine.👍😄
No my V4 came with a Reflex Gyro already in it - I had to provide an RX, TX and Battery - I have seen some for sale with without the Reflex Gyro. - But in truth it does not need one unless you are a new learner -
Good vid. I have the V2 & wondered what has changed. Besides the colour scheme, the only difference I see is the stabilisation module. I don’t think the SuprEZ needs AS3X or safe, it is so well mannered without. I learned to fly with mine, & I still enjoy flying it.
Your quite correct it really does not need the Reflex system - it is a good well behaved Trainer aircraft that can also be used to mess about with once your ready to do so...
its made by ROBART SUPER STAND II LARGE STYROFOAM ADJUSTABLE STAND - about £45.00 from ebay - if you can still get them - they have a few design faults but nothing that cannot be quickly corrected....
Thank you - I must confess it was once but no longer right now my Favourite FMS is the Kingfisher, but I have an FMS PA18 Super Cub and I am expecting that it might well take the top slot in my FMS fleet best Martyn
Excellent video. Very succinctly explained. Appreciate quality content like yours. Where do get the thicker rods for the elevator and the rudder that you installed? Cheers
Thank you very much - I live in the UK and I am very lucky that I have a local Model shop that is only a few minutes away from me by CAR or 15 walking... the Thicker rods and metal clevis's were purchased from that model shop but can be found on ebay
Hi yah Good build you realy are delaying the carbon cub flight...... When they fly good there a decent kite BUT when they play up its like flying a bag of mud... I've done some more work o. The poke just waiting for so. E decent weather
you are right about the Carbon Cub - I need to review all the instructions again and then take it to the field - mind you once I build that is not any assurance the maiden will follow soon after LOL - so the Cub just might fly before the Super EZ yet....
Hi FT. I am new to this wonderful hobby this year and had an incident with my SuperEZ V4. I broke the rudder right off. This will be my first time re-attaching a control surface on a foam plane. I have seen so many ways of doing this. What do you recommend? Foam tac glue, tape, du-bro hinges, mylar hinges? Thanks.
You need to be comfortable with the method if possable get some foam and practice..tape is not neat and you need to know how to shall we say over and under it . so it makes a good hinge foam tac alone is not a good idea Can you get some CA hinges they are just that little bit easier than mylar . My choice would be mylar , CA hinges or any flat type hinge the type with a pin holding the two flat parts together you might even want to think about pinning then once fitted...hope this helps and good luck... youtube has a lot of good videos that will help you.
Thanks very much for the quick reply FT. I think I am going to go with the hinge with the pin in the middle. Sounds like one of the best options to me. Dave (from Canada)
This is the version that comes with stabilisation, right? I have the v2. It was great to learn on but I rarely fly it now. I fly my edf at every opportunity. It's fast, agile and is just plain sex on wings. Haha. Take care. Nick
Yes it does, but really it is fine withit in off mode....its a fun relaxing fly...as you know, and is nice to have when all you want to do is potter about the sky on a sunny lazy afternoon..
