Wow dude, I can't belive you exist ! I found your channel from an ad on YT and I thought that your art style looked very familiar, and boy ! When I understood you were behind endless loop studios, it really blew my mind. I bought your 4 first games back in 2017 because they looked cool and now I learn that you were a RU-vidr that gave Unity tips all along ? I'm so confused but like wow I don't know what to say. Keep going man !
I'd love to see a tutorial video from you (The 2D Master of Unity) ;) that would cover how to make a "Doom-like" game in Unity. So it would be a "2.5D" first person shooter :) You did mention something about making a 2D/3D-thingie with your next project which maybe is something similar? You're awesome, keep up the great work!
Hello, I did as you said and made the whole scene but when I go and try to swap the prototype and the art hd assets, they don't swap. I chose the correct folder for both of those, but it's still not working. Please help me, it's urgent because it's for a game jam!
Hey! Great tutorial, but if I want to make more levels how do I switch between them? And how do I optimize the loads of the scene based on what level I selected?
Any idea how to replace the placeholder Snaps with the production ones? Asset Swap Tool doesn't seem to work in newer versions of Unity, and importing the production Snaps pack causes several compiler errors.
I just don't understand why unity doesn't make the prototype assets free. They could even make a template project where you could just press a button to import prototype snaps assets and if you want the real assets you would pay.
They bought probuilder to add in to unity which does pretty much what you said. The only part that would take some custom working is automatically swapping them for assets but you could replace the prefabs just as easily.
I'm here again lost. I just bought some Snaps pack but things won't work with the Unity Starter Assets. Do you have any suggestions? With your course I get the 2d, RPG, FPS but this TPS is harder to do with Snaps. I also bought Umodeler and use Probuilder
@@CodeMonkeyUnity man you quick, I love it. I start a new project 2020.3, pull in the TPS unity asset then the Snap asset and then I have compiled error I have no clue on how to fix it. TPS asset works until I get the Snaps asset in my project
And whatever happened to these assets ? They were good assets but costly so i think it would have been better if it were given freely or may be even sold in deals instead of just taking them off.
ProGrids will be deprecad, Unity implement all the functionality native to the editor. 2019.3 has a basic snap solution, and 2020.1 about 98% of proGrids.
If you think about how much it would cost you to hire an artist to Model/Scale/Texture/Material/Animate all those assets, which would be a five figure job, then all of a sudden $100 for ready-to-use assets is an excellent deal.
