zachanikwano that's every adult, but that doesn't mean you're devoted to your job. That's more of a devotion to pay your bills. It's not devotion if you do it for money
@Bruddah OSAS fear of whats in the ocean, the unknown in the ocean, large sea creatures, the deep, etc but not the fear of water itself. Not the best explanation but google would explain it better
this brings back memories of the first time I went to the aurora. It all started back when I was a fairly new player, knowing only of the game's beauty, not it's horror. I knew the giant wreckage was swarming with reapers, but it was the only place I knew where I could get blueprints for the cyclops. After careful observation using my underwater camera drones, I had finally located the last engine blueprint and was ready to extract the peice. Of course, me being me, I was stupid enough to go at night. The ocean slowly turned a disturbing shade of red the closer I came. Visibility was low as I zoomed around the hull towards the back in my fragile little Sea Moth, Todd. When I reached the back of the ship, I heard the roar. The animal cry was low and gutteral, piercing my heart with an icy shard of fear. I looked all around, but saw nothing but darkness. Not knowing if the creature had located me or not, I carried on with my mission. After a minute or so of searching the barren ocean floor at the back of the Aurora, I found it. The last piece I needed! By now, the combination of the darkness and the clouded rusty water had left me disorientated. I parked Todd close by the piece and got out. As I was scanning it in the silent murky depths, I noticed two hook like claws slowly come from behind me on my right side, and two on my left. I knew exactly what was going to happen, but I was too late. I turned around just in time to see the reaper's terrifying face leering at me through the darkness. As it snatched me, my bloodcurdling scream synchronized perfectly with the creature's deafening roar. Even to this day, that one moment was hands down the most scared I've EVER been in a game. (PS. I GOT THE BLUEPRINT😆!!!) (PPS. sadly, as the reaper attacked me, it crushed my already damaged Sea Moth. RIP Todd 😔😥)
everybody gangsta under the sea level until your PDA start talking: "Detecting multiple leviathan class lifeforms in the region. Are you certain whatever you're doing is worth it?"
Your "immature skill" makes it look like the reaper just dove down under water and the bubbles got caught underneath it and they are rising back up to the surface
I think the massive air-bubbles unintentionally made it cooler! Especially in the context of the game. Maybe they were air bubbles breathed from the diver who just ran like hell!! XD
"My mistake made a massive air bubble :(" There are no mistakes, only happy accidents. The air bubble actually makes it look more realistic, in my opinion. Considering the positioning of the reaper, it looks like the reaper just finished rapidly coiling itself up like that to launch itself forward into an attack, so the water was disturbed, thus causing air bubbles to form under the water. Any player who attempts to go max speed with their Cyclops knows all about how moving quickly can cause air bubbles (I believe the correct term is cavitating, correct me if I'm wrong). So the air bubbles only make it come more to life in my eyes!
i think it is cavitating since the cyclops says when you put it on the fastest speed "vessel cvitating, exessive noise" but ye same here the bubbles are more realistic
Mockenmeyer Productions First of all, you got the dialogue wrong. Second of all, that dialogue plays when the player enters the Dunes, not in the Crash Zone.
I told my friend (who was new to subnautica)that there was a surviver on the right of the aurora and his name was Sammy. I heard his screams from the basement
@@ian7019 oml you are so evil- I went exploring round back there cause I couldn't find the way into the aurora- My brother helped me out after I screamed 5 times cause I could not find how to get in and was being chased by the leviathan
2 Questions: 1. Would you consider opening a shop or commissions type thing to make dioramas for people? 2. What sculpting tools do you use? I love the videos regardless, amazing stuff.
ohh come ons ppls WE ALL KNEW this was comming 🤣 from da moment he started making the reaper lev. we knew we were gonna ask about the ghost and sea dragon lev 😅 hell mybe even an emp lev 🤣
“Warning: detecting multiple leviathan class life-forms in the area, are you sure what you are doing is worth it?” Don’t attack me I kinda forgot how it went
@@jemr3 yeah, it's a really good strat. I was once 1v1 my friend, round 1 defender and I chose Kaplan.t friend droned the objective and me, so he knew I was Kapkan. I then proceeded to trap everywhere except for the objective and killed him without even seeing who he chose.
Don’t label the other try as a failure, as Bob Ross says: “No mistakes, just happy little accidents” Side note: I too love that sound of taking off the acrylic mold/board thing
This is one of those "Shut up and take my money!" moments. I love subnautica and this is a beutiful rendition of an iconic part of that game. I wonder if i can buy this?
Imagine you’re at your friends house and you wake up in the middle of the night thirsty, so you try to go get some water and you turn on a lamp to get your footing and you just see that.
Alphawolf8467 same however I just refuse to leave the safe shallows instead of just not continuing the game(correct me if this is what you do as well and I have misjudged what you meant).
The only person on the internet that works for 5 days on something, messes up the resin and starts all over. Bravo for your tenacity. I felt bad when I saw the mistake at the end. Still, impressive work.
Resin can take hours on its own to set let alone how long it may have taken for the clay to dry, the paint to dry and the varnish to set and dry into the wood, as well as this he would have had to wait for the LED lights to arrive and then wait for the thin top coat of UV resin on the waves to dry as well. Most likely at least a 2-4 day project at a minimum.
11:14 the colour change is actually canon because reaper leviathans are large predators that can live in practically any environment on its home planet also please make a sea dragon in the lava zone or ghost leviathan, maybe even a massive sea emperor?
@@toucan2227 the reapers don't actually go down to the lava biome its actually the sea dragon swimming up looking for food and then finding a reaper and dragging it back down to eat
@Nikola well your right but also the reapers could have heard a sea dragon roar as the way reapers hunt is from sound and echolocation, due to this it went down to hunt that loud noise (btw neat fact the reason there are reapers at the aurora crash site most of the time is because they heard loud noises when it crashed thus it went there believing there would be lots of food) sadly the reapers that went down or the reapers that got grabbed by the dragon leviathan going out for dinner cant make it out alive
Really cool seeing how he did the ripples, it came out great. I also really like how Luke Towan uses ModPodge Gloss and an airbrush to make ripples. So many cool techniques out there.
one time i was playing subnautica i was riding around in my sea moth, and I had my headphones on from back to front and I didn't realize it. i hears a reaper somewhere and i thought it was in front of me but since my headphones on from back to front, it was actually in behind me so i turned around to go away from the reaper and it was mere feet away from my sea moth. t'was a very big scare edit: STOP LIKING THIS COMMENT the number needs to be maintained
You know the internet has everything when you find a YT channel that both combines your very specific love for epoxy resin dioramas and you very specific obsession with imagery of your very specific fear (thalassophobia).
Even till this day, I still can't seem to get over the fact that one of the most terrifying and feared leviathans in Subnautica has a chin that looks like a butt. With round and supple butt cheeks. That aside, it's so amazing how well you made it! I really love your work!
* Scariest creature in the game * Ghost Leviathan: *SCREECHING INTENSIFIES* Edit: OMG 358 LIKES? MY RECORD WAS 20!!!! YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING! Im just gonna share an experience with ghosts. one time, I was trying to find the floating island, and I ended up in the dead zone. i turned around to go home, but right behing was a ghost. that scared me so bad
Professional sculptor, professional designer, professional painter, professional builder, professional..... I mean the list goes on! What aren't you a professional at??! 🤯🤯🤯🤯
I appreciate your not being afraid to show your mistakes. sometimes, as a beginning crafter, I get rather frustrated when things don't come out the way I want them to and forget that even those who have been at this for a while have things that don't go the way they planned
eh, only one has shown their face so far and he turned out mostly friendly or at least one does for now unless next storyline update in subzero reworks everything yet again(kinda preferred prior iteration)
@@prcervi AL AN from below zero isn't a precursor, he's from an other race of aliens that inhabited the frozen part of the planet that kharaa didn't touch
This creature's smiling face sculpt makes me think of when you meet up with your scary-looking friend who's actually a cinnamon-roll and a gentle giant at heart!!🤣🤣🤣
"the scariest creature out there" has the best butt-chin, hands down also this is so freaking amazing, i wish i had the time or confidence or patience or sKILLS to be able to make anything close to this aaaaa also, the "mistake bubble" doesnt even look like a mistake! imo, it looks like bubbles from when the leviathan moves in the water legit, i would pay well over 300 bucks for this heck, maybe even over 500
Thats why you pay, you don't have the Time, skills and patience for this and don't get me wrong, it's gooa that people pay for this, because it supports the artist to keep creating more and more stuff
“ The reaper leviathan is a terrifying creature “ Me * Has flashbacks of how many times that thing has killed, terrorized me, and destroyed my bases *.... Yea
Me: **goes to the crash site.** Reaper leviathan: 3:20 “Surprise bitch!~ Time for your heart attack!~” Me: **shits myself and never goes back.** “WHAT EVER IS IN THERE IT AINT WORTH IT! THATS A WHOLE HELL OF A LOT OF NOPE BETWEEN HERE AND THERE! FUCK THIS SHIT IM OUT!”
Not only that but imagine that during certain seasons they go out of their habitat to hunt, there would be no submarines just because no one would want to be in close contact with one of those (if they're as common as they are in the game, if not then they're not that problematic)
