Three years later and my V1 Remix is stil going strong man! I built along with this vid almost to the T, and I have not broke an arm or anything. I bought 6 spare arms for it and still have them in my backpack. Only difference with mine is Drib motors and crossfire. I eventually changed the camera to the new Foxeer T-Rex. This thing has been rock solid Tommy. Thanks for an amazing frame!

Finally finished building it two days and took it out on its maiden voyage yesterday, The same setup including PIDS but I chose Mr. Copper motors. This machine is a BEAST! Very fast and responsive and adds a whole new level to my flying. Go ahead and get one!

This kind of video is what helps beginners a lot to get into the hobby. As there is actually no kwad camp in Germany, detailed videos like this are so essential to get an understanding on how to bring the copters into air - not only for a few minutes untill they break because of some missing setup steps and then waiting weeks untill spares arrive again... I will go ahead ;-) Thanks a lot for this video!

Watching this in January 2023. THe Remix V1 I built in 2018 is still my favorite for big freestyle among the Reverb for follow footages and the Acrobrat V1 for fun in tight spaces.

Yepps a broken Screw + Bolt + Nut extracting tool is very useful and IMHO part of basic work bench tool to have . I love your frame and it is on my "To Buy " list it is actually pretty high on it too so , soon it should be my main bird .Thank you for all the energy you invest in R&D that give us Great Safe Fun flying Hours . Fantastic build video, Tommy! And, of course, an extremely well thought out frame ;) I love it! My first full build and I couldn't be happier. Followed your build to the letter except I went with a Mach 2 VTx rocking Smartaudio and routed my antennas perpendicular to the rear arms for better range. Also installed Butter instead of Betaflight. Maiden flight was TODAY and it flies just like...BUTTA.

Hey Tommy your frame is absolutely gorgeous your Rxsr cable that you were talking about is actually designed with the servo cable on the end so you can connect it to your tranis so you can update the firmware..... The other wire that came with it is actually the one you use for the build.... And for anybody else who didn't know that's the reason because the Rxsr needs a firmware update out of the box to solve rSSI problems ...

I haven't flown this frame, but from a value perspective, this has to be the best frame. So much stuff, cnc machined parts, washers, tempered edges.

Oh my god this frame and build is so friggin awesome, im sold ordering right now, tramp vtx I thought I was the only one using this, everybody I fly with wants me to change to the TBS unify HV but nope I like the tramp and all the features it has, fantastic job Tommy im supporting this kwad.

Doode I made the realacc drone 3 years ago, was honing my skills on the simulator before I ever flew it and whilst I was doing that my youngest son threw my drone in the ditch and I finally found it after I weedeated really good a year later!! 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ frame still good but I’m buying this one and just holding on to the old one!! Love look 👀!!

Great vid t! Your instructions with the frame is spot on! Didn’t need to eat my wheeties though as i never stripped any screws! Love my frame! Oh your frame! Still to put all my components into it ,then go flying! Weather permitting! Lol love your rotor riot vid on the autonomous quads! Dude that quad is dope! I was actually working on a design very similar to this because I wanted a low CG combined with a top mount battery setup. My design does not swing open like this though, that is sick. I really like this, I think I'm gonna buy one! I'll probably take your recommendation and go with the Hobbywing 4 in 1 esc. I used to run Hobbywing back in my 4x4 1/8 & 1/10 scale racing days and their stuff was always bomb proof... plus it was cheaper than Tekin too. Nice quad and nice build!

R-XSR comes with two cables. The one you modified was meant for firmware updates. Hence only three wires and the other end perfectly goes into the transmitter S.Port.

Great built, I made mostly the sames choices on my 2 first ever builts ... because of you :) thx. But with this set up I can't do black box, not a single micro sd has ever been detected yet, do you have this problem ? Or any one else than me ? is there any CLI involved ? So that i'll sweat a bit ... to fix it . And thank you for this video . It is better than any manual !! actually this is the best manual, quick and precise !

The thought that has gone into that frame design is unreal, Nice work Tommy! I saw the spec video for the frame and was pretty impressed but seeing that hinge action is awesome :O. Also loving the designer / pilot building their own drones, I know its hardly new but its still cool as hell :)

heat shrink will make the 4 mm arms last longer might help on the 5 mm as well

What do you run? Dshot 600? Etc. I tried running 1200 and everything was fine but I couldn't connect to the confiurator with 3.4 firmware on my fc. Im using config 10.2.
