Really enjoyed that as i've not seen any modelling due to going in hospital as i had a TGA and i'm now out waiting on test results looking forward to tonights live stream
Though this was the first pack I would have to do without a "Wayne Walk Thru" since mine arrived yesterday. Happy to have the preview before I dive in !
I was going to say you'll have trouble getting 50cm length from that 15cm tube. I had a fun weekend too, I finally managed to paint the exterior of my boats cabin while the weather was nice. It's got midnight blue sides with a red roof. I added sand to the paint on the roof to make it easier to avoid slipping when getting up there while using locks. Your Porsche is really looking nice so far. Steve McQueen's going to be happy with this one.
So this is where Agora's 12 month option brings builders level with IXO Collections' 25 month build. We are waiting on Box 21 at IXO, which has been delayed from its March due date until mid May!! Will be interesting to see if Agora's Box 11 will also be delayed!
Nice video and a good looking model. Where's it going to 'live' when it's done? Otherwise, yes, Steve McQueen did hang out at Le Mans in 1970 where this livery of the 917K raced. Only it was driven by Jo Siffert - by then nearing the end of his tragically short life and Brian Redman who, gracefully, is still going strong.
Wayne, I think that the strap that holds the spare wheel in place has been mounted upside down (a little earlier you say that the raised detail must be facing upwards but then you end up with that detail pointing towards the wheel and the side with the die casting marks visible).
I need to build this one too. I like that agora has a speed build option where you can do 2 boxes per month. I started the deagostini gt40, but it just going to take way too long for me. I wish they offered where you can order whatever parts you need whenever you want. Like if I wanted two boxes in a month, or one month I want to do 3. Or you can order however many stages you want.
I don't know if it's me, or the model, but once the cooling pipes and the wheel arches are in place, they obstruct the steering. Not that I'm going to play around with the steering . . . but...
My conundrum is to get the first six packets or wait until the whole kit is offered as one purchase. Any idea when/if it will be offered with all 12 packs in one shipment?
@@andyparnell8413 if you do the IXO the instructions are in French...but it's no big deal if you know about cars and can build models... So if you do their subscription you will also get the figure of "Steve McQueen"... Which is kinda cool 😎... But you do not get anything from Agora Models with this build... Thought you'd like to know that...best ...
@@andyparnell8413 yeah you can also look on my U-tube channel..."Robin Around Town"...and see what I've done with this car... ALOT of upgrades and detail work... Best...and enjoy the build...
Hi Wayne...yeah I have finished this box on my IXO Porsche... But I did paint the base silver... it was plated because of any fuel spillage on the material...lol The other side I'm still debating painting it also silver because I can't find a true picture of the base... I think the side that runs the oil canister and the flow pumps... was just black because of less problems of spillage... Best regards mate...
