This was an excellent video Tristan! There are quite a few tips I got to take away from this from using gloves (especially when aquascaping), using H202 for cleaning the inside and the DIY lids for rimless tanks. You've got a subscriber here and I wish you all the best!
Ah man thank you so much, cannot tell you what it means to me to have someone like you support me. Today has been an epic day 😄🫶 I will keep doing my best to experiment and share knowledge like you have doneand set such a great example! Big inspiration thank you 🙌
Hey buddy, where do you get the shelving, rimless tanks and hardware for all the canopys and ro stuff in bulk , could you add that into the videos. Id like to set up my basement with 30 or so tanks as well.
Hey Kristopher, where are you based man? Most of the stuff I've bought is local, so if you're also in the same area I could put you in contact with the places I get everything 🤙
@SimplyAquaticCT have you always lived there or did you move there at some point? And not a problem man, your setups just look so clean and I want to setup a breeding farm like you with all those matching rimless tanks.
@@kristophertodd2419 appreciate it man. I've always lived here. For rimless tanks I'd say order some precut glass from a local manufacturer and build them yourself. For these tanks I'm using 615mm x 32.5mm x 32.5mm panels which works out to about 75 liters, and I'm using 5mm glass for strength.
Epic to have found your channel, I'm Gauteng based and want to start building tanks for sale to give beginners some more affordable options and custom shape offers that fit their lifestyles. Awesome to see your videos and get inspired!
@@sanctuary_of_mango ah this is amazing to hear, please reach out to me so I can add you to some of our groups and spread the reach 🙌 I'm all about supporting and growing the hobby 😀
@@SimplyAquaticCT awesome! Thank you so much, means a lot and would love to hear able to be part of the community. Would you prefer if I reach out via email or instagram?
I'm a fan of your white guppies ;) I like your slider idea. I was fortunate enough to have access to a 3D printer and made some simple, small C channels. The tanks I ended up using have the black trim on the top. I was able to lay the first piece of cut glass with the C channels on the trim and then slide the second glass on top of that. Also, congrats on your channel growth in such a short time!
@@IvansGuppies they're called platinums, sad I don't have any females for them to continue breeding... You know, I have looked for that black trim everywhere, seems either you have to buy a tank with it or accept that you'll never find it. At least locally but even searching didn't turn anything up for me. And thanks so much, owe it all to the support from you guys 🙌😄
@@SimplyAquaticCT Having a hard time finding matching females was one of the reasons that initially got me started with my project and working with this strain of guppies. If you decide to keep working with this colony, a crossbreeding followed by some backcrosses can get you some matching females. Assuming that the guppies have similar genetics to the ones I have, they could potentially throw some cool pink looking offspring! I would love to see how reproducible this result is. In any case, I'm looking forward to your fish room progress and the shrimp projects you have planned!
@@SimplyAquaticCT lol It came on my RU-vid suggestions, I have been spending plenty time researching as I’m busy with a tank in my “home office” seems a fish room is in need for me 🤣
