Lack of a better word) because doing so would probably harm their money making While devs can follow their own motives Also Tiny11 is probably fine cause other devs and security guys have checked it But "tiny11 is fine because you can provide your own iso" Seems a bit misleading
@@bijeshshrestha2450 i would actually trust Tiny11 if its a open source project but i don't think the windows 11 is a good OS to use rn like i use linux on my main pc and i need to use windows for music making and i don't think windows 11 would be a good choice for music making or any other thing because its still a new OS

I use the regular Tiny11 as my primary windows install. Apart from update issues it runs perfectly fine. Edit: I've switched to regular windows 11 because of the way I installed Tiny11, It was missing system components. Also, I've started lending the laptop to family, and these work-arounds for problems aren't ideal for them. I still love and will love Tiny11, great OS, keep it up Tiny11 team!! ❤❤❤
I actually think I'm gonna do this. ever since my laptop got forced into windows 11 my ram has been bottle necking so bad and the temps have been absolutely crazy
I have the same experience, windows 10 had great performance on my laptop and when i upgraded to windows 11 my laptop just started freezing on the most random apps such google or discord (with nothing else open)
Windows 11 has lower ram usage and smaller cpu usage. You are literally experiencing the placebo effect. Maybe try stopping the 10 thousand background processes you run at once because you don't know how to use a computer? My system uses about 2.5gb at idle. Low end pcs have 8gb these days. Super low end pcs have 4. 4 is abysmal and you have worse issues than ram usage if your system was paired with such a small amount.
tell me about it, I have a $1000 Gaming PC and idling it eats up 6GB or so of my ram, so half the games I want to play, I have to lower settings despite having a PC that can be more than capable of running it
Nah something is wrong with you all pcs windows 11 on idle on mine legit has no difference in performance from when I was using windows 10. For me the CPU usage is 1-2% Ram 20% (3.2GB) Disk 1% GPU 2% (0.1GB)

If you have an expensive PC you don't need this. You just buy more RAM. I run 64gb and use some of what's leftover for Primocache (along with a cheap Intel optane drive).
I am using tiny 11 and windows Ameliorated edition for over 1 year Its snappy , super clean. And as fast as my windows 7 or clean Linux Highly recommended - give it a try or at least try it thru virtual machines - i am a L1 technician since 1998 , assembly PC and networking stuff
When you say Windows 7, do you mean on modern hardware or on hardware contemporary to Windows 7? I'm not even sure Windows 7 would properly run with my 5900X and 3090. That and W11 loads pretty much instantly once I setup primocache.
I've been using tiny 11 for a few weeks now and it's actually amazingggg. Much better fps in game. No weird windows services and bs that clogs everything up
@@AnarquiaCookbook if it is a project maintained by a group of people and has a significant user base the probability of it being malware is quite low. Compared to a closed source projects from some random person.
Imo given that official windows 11 is spyware its more trustworthy that its not from microsoft bc they have probably tried to remove the spyware, which is mostly in the bloatware
There was Win98lite - which would make your machine super fast... but omg it'd blue screen in 0 to 0 seconds :) They did the same with Win10. With a bit better results. I wonder if Win11 will end up with the same stability issues of the past when you start ripping the OS apart like this. I'm def 100% all for it. Just curious how stable they got it this time around :)
Don't forget all the modified versions of XP and Vista. There were some for 7, but since most people just wanted faster boot times, the advent of cheap SSDs really lessened the interest in it. That being said, Windows release versions have gotten significantly more stable over the years (the insider builds are a different beast 😅), and the parts that are being "debloated" these days aren't nearly as intricately interconnected with the OS.
Finally, I can have the greatest specs ever to play 3D Pinball, I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, Minesweeper, Fortnite, and gMod. The only bad thing is most pc games are unstable.
...which is *EXACTLY* why he came up with 'Tiny11 Builder', a script that you can read through to find out *EXACTLY* what is being done. The whole point is that you DON'T have to trust him; you can grab the official W11 ISO and let T11B work on it to make your own ISO.
For someone with 16 gb Ram and 6 core CPU or higher you guy's don't need to do anything you have plenty of power,without any application running 2-3gb ram used and 0-3% cpu is used, if you want to do it then do it but that doesn't gona make any difference
@@ygx6You can just download the missing dll if you want to use something requiring a removed dll. Or just get one of the newer Linux distros since you're already going through the trouble and they come fully functional these days. It's what I'm gonna do when Microsoft tries to make me "upgrade" to 11.
I used to Tiny 7? Or something similar, was nice until games randomly break due to "unnecessary" windows components missing, was a pain tracking down components to selectively reinstall. It's like stripping the antenna off a car and being surprised the radio stops working. I would not recommend it for gaming unless you know what you are doing.
@Mrutyunjaya Biswal normal windows 11 runs on older hardware. You just disable the checks. If you have older hardware, your best bet is sticking to an older os anyways. Your not doing yourself any favors.
the only thing that stopped me was how experimental it is, its not 100% guaranted to remove the junk, also how it doesnt get updates, but i still consider it as a option
Already tried installing on a atom processor laptop which resulted in a no drive detected ( an emmc drive) during a GPT partitioned tiny 11 installation. Tried on a i3 processor using a MBR installation, resulted in a smooth installation but after a few days of updates which failed, resulted in a tedious Please wait screen while loggin in
it essentially does what Winaero Tweaker does, but the pro for tiny 11 is only needing the 2gb RAM to run. I use Winaero to disable all the BS I dont need. Id only use Tiny11 if I need an OS to run in a machine with low RAM specs. Tiny11 is useful, but Winaero wins if youre not trying to use stripped OS.
I did it months ago, it was worth it, my PC doesn't have the necessary requirements for me to upgrade to Windows 11, but it doesn't matter with tiny 11 you can do it anyway, now is faster and it has almost no bs running in the background, I haven't see any downside yet
I use tiny11, only big downside was that there was no default browser. Which meant I couldn't install one. I had to use a laptop to download the installer then put it on a usb. The performance however, is amazing. Much better than the windows 10 pro I upgraded from. 10/10 would recommend
@@artem29488 so far the updates haven't added anything back. However I think if there is an update that needs something that was removed, it just stays there in the updates. Currently I have one update that just wont go away no matter how many times I try to install it.
“Tint” has been around for ages. It exists as far back as windows 98se and It does have the nasty habit of removing drivers as well to make the install quicker and smaller which means you would sometimes (not always) have to manually get network drivers and then manually install chipset drivers etc. Usually on gaming machines we don’t want windows versions of drivers (sometimes outdated) or generic drivers. So it’s not “great” for gaming machines. And sometimes requires a bit of extra work. But yea , in the end you’ll have less services and processes running (which you can also do yourself if you really wanted to)
Interesting, one of the main reason I still use windows 10 and will continue to do so till new hardware no longer supports it, is that it runs worse than windows 10 in basically EVERY way for gaming.
I literally did a routine Windows update on Friday and it Blue Screen of Death'd my laptop, so yeah, trust and Windows aren't exactly two things that go together in my books
I still don’t think I would use it with machine directly connected to internet, but seems as great choice for a box in a fenced lan, if you rely on Windows
I have Tiny10 and it easily runs with 1GB RAM usage, be careful, as it doesn't come with a browser you'll need to either put one on your USB drive or download Chrome using powershell and cmd prompt. Most drivers are already present too, except graphics driver and cpu driver.
Im using Tiny 11 on 10th gen i3 laptop with just 4GB Ram and mechanical hard disk. Compared to normal windows 11, I saved around 20% of the RAM usage. And the best part is it runs on just 24GB partition
