This was without doubt the Smoothest problem free Build/Assembly I have ever undertaken over the past few years - it was a Dream.......... If Xfly Models ever made a Larger it would probably be the best larger in the world....
Hi martyn First off the T7A you can always do a mod with the Allan key hole 6inch nail 5lb lump hammer.. Jobs a gud un.. Hahahahaha yes you can tell I was a precision engineer.... Love the wart hog... And what a quality kite now this I've got to see fly.... Side note its CUCKING DOWN. ALL THE FIELDS WILL BE LIKE QUAGMIRES. Stay well Brian
For a moment Brian I thought you were being serious about the T7A mod LOL - I was about to reply saying that "The grub screw is in the wrong place" - Doh !!!, To say that I enjoyed working on this would be an understatement - I think it will be a long time before I come cross another aircraft that goes together problem free as this one has - yes we will not have to see how it flys - I must contact Ian and get some setting up tips before I do take it on a Maiden - it is also Pi**ing it down here - ....
@@FlankerTanker hahahahaha I can just imagine you laying the T7A on its side and laying into it with a 6inch nail n a club hammer hahhahahaha good idea getting in contact with Ian he's seems to have his set up a treat.. Dread to think what Gina's field is like now. It's going to be a few months before she will be able to walk on it
@@FlankerTanker that's a thought BUT loads of weeds n debris floating on top Alan might have to grab the fishing waders... That wart hog VERY VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY is is a stand alone company or a subsidiary
@@FlankerTanker Yep, Big Timbo is on his floats... took ages to get them on as the instructions were less than helpful. Even got the UMX TT on floats... then saw that the floods had almost totally gone. Typical. So I'm hoping for a total deluge of rain.
this easy going together bewar on the maiden! they must give you extra stickers in case you mess up some! that piece by the nose wheel is the pave penny pod basically the laser targeting pod for the maverick missiles!! damn strange they left the belly and wings bare though i'd expect some missiles and bombs for it!
I am not sure they are "EXTRA" stickers - the instructions show every single one being used but I think it looks stupid with "NO STEP" stuck all over it, so tend not to use them all :-) I agree it must have something to do with costs - they could have made them slide on and off as the FMS and ARROWS do.. but never mind...
@@FlankerTanker well they're definitely overdoing the stickers then, real planes don't near as many no step markings as these models would have you believe i know that from being around some of them! they should have detailed photos taken or better yet go and see the real plane for themselve!
I have one ready to go , put a spektrum rx in it and have been trying to figure out what the gains should be for safe and AS3X , I have guessed there close to other small jets
Xfly certainly look to be producing excellent models. Well done on the build - excellent. With the CofG, was that already marked on the wings with those two red circle decals? They look to match with yours from the video. Look forward to seeing the maiden 👍🏻
Sean - I had not even noticed that - yes the two on the wings seem to be almost exactly the same give or take a few mm - DOH !!!!! - Mind you there is NOTING in the instructions to say that is what they are marking - also the ones on the Fuse just confuse the matter - LOL - Now on to build the Husky and then make a list of Maidens in the waiting for 2022 so far..
Thanks 👍 AirHammer - I have been nothing but Impressed with the quality of the Models from Xfly - and from what I have seen they should fly well also...
Yes for about 1:30 - I forgot to strap the battery in place and it moved forward in flight causing a nose dive into the Ground - it was so badly damaged I decided to strip it for parts and bin the rest -
Never - I have had loss of signal on the Spektrum AR610 (that has antennas) - but never on the Antenna less - AR620, AR410 and the AR630 - these are all Antenna less - well they do have one but it is Internal - all of these are now my go to RXs
Hi Martin I’ve only just started using those reciviers and picked up nx6 i know how to set up safe but the as3x gains would be great if you could let me know your gains or do you just leave what it comes up with the default I think it’s 160 I was trying to install on my freewing f22 and when you wobble plane in as3x it seems there’s a lot of movement so any tips or vid would be helpful, cheers Gary ✈️
I leave the gains as they come BUT as I use an NX8 - ( it has a rotary knob on the Right hand side), I set Variable Gain on that - I do not think that the NX6 has a Rotary knob on it, so not 100% sure how you would do that if at all... might have to fly , Land and Adjust - until the wobble has gone.. I have to say that I have never had to make any changes to the settings using the Knob... Sorry if this is not much help.....
@@FlankerTanker no that’s still helpful Martin thanks it’s a shame there’s not a knob on nx6 but been looking for a dx9 cos that has knob and I think you can do forward programming with those recivers I might be wrong I got couple dx6i’s and few other things to sell so I can get 9 I’m not sure if you can on a 8 do you know, gaz
NO I have been unwell - so not been out flying - and having to stay at home - so I am building a few to get them ready for Maidens once I am back to normal ....
