this is genuinely the best tutorial for risers I've seen. I've only just started with Ableton so the way you make it to simple is amazing.

you can automate the grain size of the texture warp mode with the clip envelope
@Classtrackorg
@Classtrackorg 9 лет назад
Aaron Brennan Oh cool, I didn't know you can do that. It looks like you can modulate it, but not automate it. It's to bad it does not show how it's effecting it on the Grain Size like it does for almost every other modulation.
@wordboy-u1e
@wordboy-u1e 9 лет назад
Classtrack.org Yeah it's not exactly automation ass it's by percentage based on how high or low the grain size is set it's a bit weird, it'd definitely be better to be able to use an actual automation lane

not getting how you doubled the sample?
@Chihuahuax3x
@Chihuahuax3x 8 лет назад
+DJ Kenny Magee In the sample section where the warp modes are there is a " *2 " button. that stretches the sample by 2.
@cum_sock4004
@cum_sock4004 8 лет назад
okay click on the audio tracck you uploaded, go all the way to the bottom where theres a window that says sample and under the Warp collum click the *2 button, he does it on the video real fast you can cath it if you look closley

When I reverse the audio clip, it keeps cutting out. I'm new to this how do you fix it?
@subaqueousmusic
@subaqueousmusic 6 лет назад
Make sure it is not warped. Turn warp off. Maybe that will help.
@Garush
@Garush 6 лет назад
How do you do that?
@subaqueousmusic
@subaqueousmusic 6 лет назад
That is a longer answer I can no just use txt to explain. Maybe I will make a video on that in the future. For now though, either me up for a private class or look up "How Warp Modes work" witn Ableton Live: subaqueousmusic.com/one-on-one-classes/

This is NOT how you build risers in Ableton. You're just using a bunch premade risers. You can create and customize your own risers using the operator instrument. Yes this is easier but I wouldn't it say it's "unique". Try Operator if you really want the authentic way to make a riser.
@subaqueousmusic
@subaqueousmusic 4 года назад
It sounds like the age-old debate of using samples and turning them into indistinguishable new sounds isn't original. I would say using samples as a base can be used to make something new and unique. I can do the same thing in operator, your right. Both create amazing new sounds and both have the same level of intricacies possible.
