Question from a novice here; Re the INTAKE PLATE; I appreciate that's it's essentially wide open...will debris from the Lake you are on, be able to enter/damage your Jet Pump??
Can I buy the ride plate , the sponsons, and the jet pump intake bolt them on to my Yamaha 2021 and get some better performance from the stock engine ? And is that ok to do?
Most would say you must lol but yea you should be totally fine. If I was you I would totally give them a call and see about the reflash if you’re going to do all of that as well
@@duradance4475 well I’m a newb , so I’m sure the stock power will be enough to make my butthole pucker for awhile lol. But anytime I can get bolt on performance for a smoother cleaner ride on anything .I’m in. But yeah I will call them . Thanks .
You'll get better overall performance WITH the stock engine, but not because the engine is running more efficiently or anything. It's entirely indicative of the hull, and pump efficiency.
@@watercraftjournal that’s great . I’m not looking for more speed or power. Just looking for better handling , smoother ride and overall just a cleaner ride ….cavitation ect ect ….thanks . 270-300hp is mind blowing as it is. Lol 350hp is face melting power , just think about that a Subaru wrx all wheel drive with a tune and turbo makes 400hp and weighs 3400lbs , this thing is almost as powerful but weighs 2000ls less just rounding on all numbers …..insanity . I cannot wait . I am buying two new jet skis 2022models just not sure witch brand . Probly Yamaha or seadoo
@@watercraftjournal Right... not sure why you sound so condescending about it literally just asking if you think an intake grate and ect would make any performance differences but nvm
Wish it looked more sleek like rxt x300 or rxpx, just can’t stand this design. However performance on this thing is crazy and makes me want to get one and close my eyes on design.
You can click the links in the article. It's a lot of numbers to have memorized and spout off at the top of your head - heck, Dave left off several of the parts on this package.
Stage 2 parts sum = 3928, kit price 3785 free ship, call it $4k with tax for parts and your labor. That's 86mph @ 8600rpm.... I honestly expected it to cost more
Why make declarative statements on something you don't much about? The GP hull does NOT require such mods - no more than sponsons, an intake grate and ride plate. Just because YOU cannot handle it in rough doesn't place the vehicle at fault. It means you're a substandard rider. -K
Complete nonsense. Most endurance offshore guys have used the FX hull, and still do. For buoy courses, the sharper/quicker handling of the GP is worth the trade off in rough water stability. These are all well established facts. You know nothing about my riding history so making this personal with speculative comments is childish.

yamaha must be using a gps now for speed, the oem plate does not have a place for the wheel, they are using a block off for the riva plate, must be used on prior years also
Translation: Everywhere Dave goes, he tells people about his products so that they'll buy them. Congratulations, you outted Dave Bamdas as being a capitalist.
