Blake explains the uses for a pneumatic air scraper and also shows how to use it. A pneumatic air scraper can be used to remove ceramic tile, scrape off carpeting mastic, break up thin concrete, or many other things, but we used it to scrape old paint off of a concrete floor.
This particular scraper was around $100 at Harbor Freight. If you do pick one of these up, don't forget to get pneumatic tool oil as well. You'll want to drip a few drops into the air inlet every hour or so of use. The oil will keep the internals lubricated, and will prolong the life of the tool.
