Not many places have it in stock...I believe this is the official distributor: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DEkwo4N If you are questioning '$5000' Truck: £3256 Servos £430 Motors/ESC: £170 Paint: £50 Total: £3906 = $4969 (close enough ;)
As someone who has a weird appreciation for things that are packaged extremely well/expensively, this is absolutely top-notch stuff! The OCD nature and how well they've made it all understandable with the labelled bags and the corresponding detailed instructions, the thick foam trays (the one with the shocks in the "exploded diagram" layout as you pointed out is particularly fine!) containing everything, even the outer box having the company logo on rather than just a generic carboard box, the entire lot is superb! I bet a not-insignificant part of the price is related to how well they've done all that!
I have a cross gc4 as my first ever hard body kit, I was expecting more of a model that happens to be RC, but after building it I realized it's truly a heavy duty machine. I bashed the hell out of it on the trail, and realized they're priced extremely reasonably for the quality. And the gc4 is pretty far over on the lower end of Cross models. 11/10 would recommend.
You could never ever afford one? It was 4,300 bucks. I’m certain anyone could save that much money very easily. Especially if you want it bad enough. That mentality that you never will is why you never will.
@@tylerseabook9423 not everyone lives where you live... average monthly income in my country is 1500$, not saying one cant save for this beast but you will think a lot more about where you want to spend your 5k$. I can rebuild whole kitchen including new appliances for that money for example...
As it's locomotive inspired, you should paint it in the style of British Rail man!! Look for a class 50 image - yellow front, blue main body and black roof with black surrounding the windows... Really looking forward to this series!
Fed up with RTR, plug&play's, beginner jobs or one day projects ? CrossRC is here for you !😊 The biggest, the most expensive, the heaviest, the hardest-to-build RC thing ever is now somewhere in the UK. Pray for not meeting the monster : it'd eat your 1/24 crawler, and maybe you and your dog. 😱 Love this kind of thing.👍 Mad Max...
I'm so glad you're doing this. This is a bonkers kit that deserves more attention, and most people (including myself) probably won't ever get to see one in person.
Kits that come with tools are well thought out by the manufacturer 👍 As for you Phil your the reason why people should get into the hobby that kit is EPIC! not just bought but built it yourself 💪👍
Oh my goodness!!! That thing is amazing! Thank for bringing us along for the ride @TomleyRC 👍 Just checked the link for comparison, price in AUD for us Aussies: $5150 + at least another $1215 shipping 🤯😵💫😵 I'd have to sell the family car to buy one but it wouldn't matter cause there would be enough money left for a trailer to pull behind it! 😂
I've seen a few crossRC builds and yes, great instructions and quality. You struggling to get the pieces out of the foam reminds me of my large socket set....you need a prybar to get the sockets out of their pockets and a hammer to put em back in! Nice that they don't come loose and roll around but a pain in the arse if you're trying to get em out 1 handed.
21:55 totally agree about power tools vs hand tools. I'm a mechanic and auto-electrician working on everything from chainsaws and motorbikes to trucks and forklifts, and any thread smaller than 10mm I prefer to do by hand, so I can feel any inconsistency or concerns early, before the damage is done. Love the channel, I wasn't meaning to find a new hobby but I have ended up with an fcx24 K5 Blazer and an LDARC X43 both on your recommendation. 🙏
I’ve watched unboxing and build videos before. But this was by far my favorite. Almost makes me regret preordering the Apple Vision Pro. Cause if I saw this first I might of saved some more and got this instead.
Oh my, you've gone all in on a Cross! It's an SPAA looking machine for shooting planes maybe. But irl maybe more of a mobile crane chassis they look very similar.
I have a cnc router that can do light aluminum but I was looking around for a cnc mill and my buddies said NO WAY will we let you buy a mill. Me: why? Them: because you told us what you'd do if you bought an r/c tank. Me: you mean have it fire .22 LR ammunition? YES!!!! lol
Ive just got into rc trucks coming over from fpv freestyle flying. Got myself a mt10 v2 and I’m really enjoying bashing. I think I’m liking rc cars more as there is more things to tinker with cause once I build a drone that’s kind of it but with these trucks there is all manor up upgraded bits plus I’m liking all the mechanics it’s just as fun to work on.
That's so satisfying to watch all these perfect parts fits together. Very every expensive, but looks so cool. For me rather too expensive for just an hobby. So thanks that you do a project like this. Exciting to see part 2
Fell in love with this first time I saw one. I’m a novice so don’t know if I have the skills to build this so this build will be really interesting for me👍 It’s not the build per se as I’ve worked on cars and stuff but the RC side is a dark science to me.
Having seen the videos produced for this Truck ican say i've been looking forwards to watching one being built. I know it is so expensive but it will look so good once it's finish. I'm looking forwards to part 2.
The packaging of that first box is A1. Sure this will take a while to paint then build looks forward to the outcome. With that radio you can drive to Ireland and back the ERLS Radiomaster MT12 is a beast of a radio.
Bloomin' heck, that's some commitment you're showing to us building that behemoth! I love all those high end Chinese vehicles & had a Mato Tiger tank that was awesome, but I sold it as I rarely used it. Please don't snap your back lifting it too much! I'll keep an eye on the next raffle (already been in a couple) to keep you in coffee & biscuits...you've earned it! :)
Love this type of video. So satisfying seeing a well built complex kit like that... That chassis looks amazing in black, the tires are beautiful... Big kits like these are very interesting
Holy cow that thing is ginormous! It would be an epic thing to build but moving it from one place to another and storing it looks like a challenge in itself! LOL. It all looks wonderfully machined and although expensive you are getting a lot of truck and quality parts in there! Certainly is not a Tamiya CC02 build! LOL!
What an amazing bit of kit!! Yeah don’t get me wrong it’s very expensive but… when you see that kind of care and attention put into the packaging you know the product is going to be top notch!! Looking forwards to the rest of the build dude! Nice work
You sure know how to give the viewers the content we want to see. This build is looking like a beast can’t wait to see you driving it, another awesome video sir.
I was looking at that truck a week ago and now I see how much you get for the money I will be getting one soon, i love building scale vehicles, very cool
