I know this might be harsh but that hutch is awful for rabbits. 1 its WAY too small 2 it’s wired bottom 3 it’s not on the ground 4 not suitable for the winter. If u take my advise ur rabbits will be happy as can be oh also u can have a hutch then a space to run attached to it with a roof so no predators can get in thx
You are right about the size but ive owned rabbits for years of the ground with wire mesh bottom never had a problem and i have realized once there is room and food those rabbits can be very happy but i recommend a box in the cage just so they can be a bit more comfortable
The time needed to complete some of your goals was spent on animal needs. I remember you wanted to wait until after the house was finished. The Mrs. wanted animals, so you did the only sensible thing. Animals it is. So what if it takes a year or two longer. LOL. Really enjoy your homestead. Double the orchard and make vinegar, cider and brandy. Dehydrated fruits and canning. Get a dog that will keep the critters in check.
Nice cages!! Only thing I would change is putting the wire on the door on the inside so the rabbits cant chew the door frame!! I used plywood for my doors and its a yearly repair job! LOL I should also wire the inside of them!! I am tired of the plastic bottles cracking and freezing in winter, so changing to the metal half circle pans with the tabs the go thru the wire. I hope I can just knock the ice out and the one I have I just fill with a garden waterer thru the wire, so much easier!!! I do have the feeders but they are inside the cage after removing the flip tops so easy to fill. My cages are doubles similar to yours, and in the outside chicken pens so the chickens keep everything cleaned up. I enjoy watching your vids, and look forward to each one!!!
Make videos of work on the barn Please,as I will have a lot of work ahead when I’m done high school and start farming the family farm! Our bank barn is 8/10 condition but still wouldn’t hurt to do general work and repair to get it back to having cattle.
The barn is huge project, not sure what all I will get done this year. But it need electricity run out to it. Water ran over to it. Stables area cleaned out and redone. Paint on the outside and a new roof. I could make tons of videos just on barn projects. Not to mention all the fencing that needs done. I am planning on making videos for all of it.
I have used that type of wire before and found it to be very harsh on there feet and the baby's tend to get there feet stuck and I have had to amputate the foot .
When winter hits do i need my rabbits inside?? I have one as a house pet but got 4 more outside..i feel so bad i cover the cage and have dog befs hay and baby blankets but i still feel bad..is that a bad life for a rabbit should i sell cause one rabbit i side is enough lol..lotsa poop
@@stacey9528 If you raise them for pleasure, you may not tire them out with a hard winter and sell them, or lock them in a warmer place. If you like rabbit meat you can make it into pate.
Actally I built a dog house out of the log siding that is on our house. It is still up by our camper. I need to do some finishing touches, then I will move it over to the house.
DO NOT hold a bunny by the scruff that's cruel and dangerous they do not pick up there babies like that! And where's the hay I'm looking all over and see none? I should be seeing hay which is about as important as water. And why are they on wire, Rabbits Don't have padding on there feet. And bottles are not natural, consider changing it to a dish! Ty for reading!
I actually cut the whole side off my thumb, with that very table saw when I was 18. I do have a push stick. I just couldn't find it that day. I knew that would make some people cringe.
