When I was in 6th grade, my Best Friend was MARY BIGSBY, her Dad was Paul Bigsby. This was in Downey, California, and Paul, had a shop in his back yard where he built his Guitars. I loved to look in and watch him at work ! This Video brought back such Wonderful Memories for me, u did great job !! Thank you.
What an incredible build! I'm gathering up material right now to build a Magnatone Mark iv. I'm gonna use Purple Heart for the neck and Cherry for the body, more or less.
Do you build them to sell, or is it just for you? Last year, I had the honor of playing a real Bigbsy originally made for Luke Charpentier, Jr. Could have bought it, too-for $225,000. Ouch!
HI, I normally build my own models (www.guttlin.be) but sometimes I just have to build one of those all time classics cos I love 'm so much. Also, only when you build one, you fully understand how clever and great the bigsby design was, truely an icon. Sold this one for a tiny tiny fraction of that original :)
