One of the best books I’ve ever read in my life. It would be a distinct honor to speak to this man about his writing process. After I read it on my device, I bought the hard cover copy and recommended to my younger brother. The narrative haunts me, in a good way, to this day. Masterful work.
I finished the book yesterday and cannot stop thinking about it. The way Nana humanizes the incarcerated, makes the reader consider the state in which we are living and the use of footnotes was beautifully done.
🌊👽🌊 Writing about life is such a mystery to me. Like so much of reading is paying attention and for me what I haven’t been paying attention too which is honestly a bit devastating.
