After getting back from our trip to South Carolina the garage looks like a bomb went off. The garage is packed with boxes of new parts for the Brookville 32 roadster, and we need to consolidate this mess. Matt and Steve get to work going over the chassis to tighten all of the bolts that rattled loose on the drive home, and get the brookville body onto the chassis. Theres a bunch of work need to get the body, chassis and engine put together to get it ready for sale! Yes this one will be for sale, here are all of the details!
1932 Brookville Roadster- No expense spared! Mocked up and ready for disassembly for bodywork/paint, upholstery and wiring.
- Brookville Body with bodywork 90% done (last owner died while it was in the body shop)
- New Professional Built Chassis w/ American Stamping Rails
- New Brookville Grill & Walker Radiator
- New SoCal Drop Axle w/ Hairpins, round back spindles
- New Lincoln Style Bendix Brakes w/ Riley Auto Drums
- Rebuilt 57 283 (never been fired) with new Rochester carb, Dual Point dist, center dump exhaust manifolds
- New Tremec 5 Speed
- F100 Steering Box
- Ford 9” Rear with parallel leaves
- New Firestone Front Runners & Mickey Thompson Cheater Slicks
- New hanging pedal setup w/ Chevy dual circuit clutch/brake master cylinder
- New Stainless Headlight Bar & 32 Lights
- Brake lines and Exhaust have all been started
- 99% of the fabrication has been completed, a few items will need to be finish welded
- Plus boxes of new parts to finish off 99% build, a few additional things will be needed to finish all the way.
- Over $40,000 already invested to get the project this far!!!
$30,000 picked up in Boyertown, Pa. Will be taking it to Charolette Auto Fair and Carlisle next month.

You can see Moon enjoys trying to figure it all out. Thousands of ancient dawg generations working with people to bring down big herbivorous animals, encoded into his genetics. He's just wondering when, during the build, he bites an elk on the leg, so Dad can jab a pointy stick into it.

Your nephew doesn’t seem scared to do the work, he obviously has some knowledge of how stuff comes apart, and goes together. Good for him, seems to be hard to find people his age with any mechanical abilities anymore. Man, that’s a nice roadster, but I’m still loving the 3 window 32.

To me it sounds like, with that firewall, that if an original part has an identification number, that part and number can be used to register the car with a 1932 date of manufacture.

Morning Matt & Steve!! Wow, that 32 will make someone a very nice car! The previous owner had some serious coin in that car!! Moons tail never stops! Matt your nephew is getting an experience of a lifetime!! Well when the time comes, you will have to leave the business to someone!! Y'all be safe!! God Bless!!

That's a good start for someone who is new to building a old school hot rod. It's right at the point where a person can make it their car. Soon it will be time to make choices, in/out, colors? Interior? and a big choice is what will it be used for? Street/strip, show, daily driver. That looks like it was somebody's dream car, now you have possible for that to happen again!!!
@charlesyoung7436
@charlesyoung7436 Год назад
That '32 project might just sell for enough to cover the entire picking trip, yet still remain a bargain for the buyer (who won't need all of Matt's extensive skills to put it together).

It looked like the top of the cowl was smashed down and spread out on the sides a bit when you were putting the firewall in. I'm sure you will fix that when you beat the cowl back into shape. This must feel pretty weird for you to be working on a rust-free car. Looking sweet! Nice photobomb by Moon at the end of the video!

A friend and I did something like this in 1985. Speedway automotive offered a roadster kit so I got it delivered to my house in Kentucky and we took two days to build it. I supplied the engine and trans, a 348 Chevy and powerglide, and tires and a few other things. Morning of the third day were driving it. That weekend we drove to a roadster meet in Knoxville, sold it for a profit and had to ride the Greyhound back to Louisville!! It was great fun. Love your videos, thanks for doing them. Even though I am an old codger, I always manage to learn something new. thanks again.

It'll be nice once it's done. Also, I wish I had a cool uncle like you growing up. I'd be working in your shop every chance I could get, trying to learn as much as I can along the way. I'm a little confused why you would sell this as a project, when it's basically a kit car and as you stated the parts are worth more money individually than selling it as a project by many thousands, especially as you own a parts selling business. I understand selling on large items at the swap meet avoids packaging and shipping nightmares, but could of sold frame and body together and Mike could of made a killing selling all the shiny new parts. If it was a historic car this would be more understandable, considering your company ethos, I think you should finish it and have a raffle or promotional giveaway, or even start a car rental or movie rental company. Anyway sweetheart looking cool apart from the woodwork, really?

Everything in your shop seems to be so far removed from reality, I can never comprehend how you keep doing what you do? For instance, making a living doing this? Building a brand new house with the proceeds of your endeavors? Paying a living wage not only to yourself but those who toil alongside you in your shop? And finally, having the financial resources to not only cross the breadth of your country on a regular basis but to buy the volume of parts and old cars that continuously find their way into your shop. How do you do all of this?
