3v dream! great video. my next mods for my 3v is hot rods cams, ford racing tb, ford racing valve cover, and e85. Can't wait love the 3v over 5.0 any day. I'm trying to find the perfect deep tone axle backs sound for longtubes, off road hpipe, pypes over axle pipes. I have the fr500s ab they're great for no drone. but I want something louder with no drone. keep up the great work! looking forward for more videos.
You are one of those guys we use to say listen to that car go ???? 🤣😂😳. You can get your time using a sun dial and a calendar 🤣😂😂😂🤣. Spend all that money for what maybe 50 HP. $ 3,500.00 bucks . But it's loud.... Like I said listen to that car go.
Yoooo Im going to take my S197 GT to wild horse as soon as the next open day is! This video was sick man! Really inspires me to try and boost my currently stock 3v.
Hey man if your looking for a cheap front brake upgrade you can get the caliper bracket and rotors from the base 11+ GTs. Bigger rotor and all stock cheap parts. Dig the car man. 👍🏼
@@CamMarz 2012 GT 500 4 piston Brembo calipers bolt right up to our spindle, with same year model 14" rotors... No special brackets or hardware needed. Most auto parts stores sell remanufactured calipers for half the price, they just grind off the embossed Brembo logo. Kits on LMR or American Muscle go for $1200 or more just for front upgrades. I paid $250 per caliper and couple hundred for Crossed drilled rotors. The rears require a bracket you can find almost anywhere but with it you can bump to 13.8" rotors from a 2013 GT500 and maintain your rear caliper as is...because the GT500 used them too. All this took a couple hours to swap out and it is bonkers how much more clamping force and shortened braking distance you get. I road race my car at track days and I went from cooking my brakes any day I raced to beating this thing lap after lap like a legit track rat.
@@CamMarz Facts 😂 Either im getting a 5.0 or a LSX next. My 3v will stay stock until I sell it cause i don’t think worth building the 3v engine. Even the LS1 from a 1998 Camaro will hold its own with a cam against todays cars.
I could never buy an automatic mustang, my '89, '99, and '09 are all manual, but to each is own and this car is nice regardless looks like the same color as my 09
What type of job do you have? Nurse here. The reason I ask is I always find it interesting what people do that spend alot of money on cars. I too have a boosted 3V, made 741/663, fun times until it started suckin valves.
@Cam Marz - I have an 08 bullitt that I've slapped with a P1-SC. Everything else is bone stock. Your dyno was at 460/400 after exhaust/cams/Forced induction, but do you have a built bottom end, or are you still running stock internals? I've been really wanting to get some cams in mine, but I've been afraid of pushing her beyond her limits and throwing a rod.
Stock 05 3v owner here, was wondering with everything stock on mine, how much would I have to replace for the car to handle the extra power, and how much money did it cost you all mods included, thanks
What kind of mpg did you get after you put the cams in? I’m at 15mpg with headers and a paxton 1200 with 39lb injectors, but I already spend too much on gas lol
2 answers, I just grew a little tired of the sound for the 44's wanted something deeper and louder. And with Lito vs the dyno tune, the dyno tune had better drivability, and was also a bit more accurate on the A/F ratio. To Litos credit, I didn't give him a wideband reading to go off of, so the best he could do was guess
@@CamMarz only reason why I ask is because I couldn’t find anyone to tune in AZ when I went on my search. And because I get 44’s now and they are annoying me. Hopefully you get your car good 👏🏻 going for a turbo build on mine!
Hey I know this is an old vid. But I looked up your bumper and can’t find it for the Gt but they have it for the v6. It looks identical didn’t know if it will just bolt right up like normal
@@CamMarz sweet man thank you. Your build is inspiring mine. Not sure if I should start documenting it for RU-vid. But here in the next few months she’ll be pro charged as well. She’s tungsten gray too 😉
I used to use it occasionally, and yes preferably you would want to be a tad bit on the throttle. Still I did go through 2 transmissions so I would be cautious
@@CamMarz ok. you prefer the auto over 5 speed manual. I have a 09 mustang c/s manual. I have limited options to upgrade because of California emissions.
I actually didn't break 11's that night, but I was trapping faster. Both track days were on a street tire and the 3.73's being a more aggressive gear made it a lot more difficult to launch the car!
Come one mustang boys… do I need to mention the STOCK luxury sedans that killed your HP and times from the same era? This is with zero mods.. just factory… ouch… thank god for the coyote !
@@CamMarz still a great platform. This would be a great candidate for a weekend warrior drag build. I love my 5-speed but it doesn’t shine in the 1/4 mile.
