Building a Community: The Oregon Clinical Laboratory Consortium 

To support the COVID-19 testing effort at the beginning of the pandemic response, the Oregon State Public Health Laboratory started the Oregon Clinical Laboratory Consortium. Originally with a goal of understanding SARS-CoV-2 testing capabilities and capacity, the Consortium grew to become a forum where laboratory leaders could meet virtually and collaborate. These on-going discussions allowed for the sharing of reagents, supplies, best practices, and technical advice with a goal of better patient outcomes for the citizens of Oregon.
