Since it has been almost 30 years since I did any serious control line flying I decided to build a trainer.
I chose the Brodak Flite Streak Trainer (originally by Top Flite) and the quality of the kit is excellent.
This is the wing, part 1 of the build.

Came upon your videos. I'm 68. Ordered many control line planes from ebay plus engines and all stuff... please. Do i just bolt engines tight thru hardwood endine mounts, or, use rubber washers for engine vibration ? 🇺🇸

Can you advise on location of Brodak 40cc (1.5oz) tank with a .15 glow engine on a small-ish control line model. Ive read in the engine manual the offset from spray bar to tank inlet - but things are mounted sideways so I'm not experienced unuf to resolve it; I figure so long at bottom of tank is no lower than the throttle - all should be OK - is that correct? Nice vid of your btw....I need a drill press now convinced. Cheers.

Jefferson Robinson The center line of the tank should align with the center line of the venturi (or thrust line). Raising and lowering the tank will make fine adjustments needed during flight. Flying inverted should not change the engine run, if it does raise or lower the tank slightly until there is no change in the engine run inverted or normal level flight.
