Too much going on simultaneously , but a lot of change happened during the course of the past few weeks. With extra helping hands, the greenhouse projects is coming along nicely. We also renovated the roof of the small cabin.
Hi! We are Laura & Jonas, a Belgian couple living on the Estonian island Saaremaa. Here we are in the process of building up a resilient homestead from scratch.

The round green house is fabulous!! Leopold and your neighbor's dog seem to not bother each other... What fun to have a friend come for a working visit!! How nice that Jonas' parents are so handy and willing to pitch right in :) !

Very lovely place. I plant out after may 24, except onions go in the ground as soon as the ground can be worked.

My grandma had the white sheets ready in spring - all the old ones would be quickly spread on her garden if she smelt frost in May :)

Yes she is the neighbors dog, but sometimes she pays us a visit. Last year that happened more often :)

It's always difficult to be patient when the weather looks promising. This year this year there was frost in some parts of Germany even in June as I saw on the weather forecast. 🤔❄️ A shower in the greenhouse, what a great idea 👍

It's all looking very nice. Goats will make a nice addition, something we are also thinking about. Love that trellis, i need to redo ours too.

Yes, looking forward having them here, but we know at the same time these goats will provide us with plenty of challenges to tackle haha :) Perhaps next springtime we have some baby goats if you're interested ;)

For long life and against eny insects for your wood beams, logs ...is beter if you treat them with fire gas torch before oiling them.

2 dagen geleden jullie channel ontdekt. Echt super gaaf! Ik voel véél inspiratie :D Mag ik vragen waarom je bij de plantenkas 2 dakdelen met hout hebt gemaakt? Is dat tegen te hete zomerzon of omdat daar juist geen zon op valt (al dacht ik in de video te zien van wel) ? Liefs uit Nederland :)

You burn the bottom of a log so it will not rot when put in the ground? What is the name of the trees you build with? It is rude to ask, I know, but I wonder what language you speak to each other?

Yes! and we surround it with stones so no soil touches the wood. Mostly pine and fir is what we're using. And not rude haha, we speak dutch to each other! (Flemish, from the north of Belgium)

Well, the unexpected frost from last night managed to wipe out all my outside tomatoes, beans and half of my pumpkins so I'm not sure about this sentiment :p
