Great presentation and you kept it light enough you didn't sound like a company rep I'm down in South Carolina but originally from Burnt Hills I just found you and him going to subscribe thanks

Thanks. One thing I appreciate is you telling your height and weight and exactly what size you wear on top and bottom. Very helpful for ordering online!!

Respect from Southern Ontario Canada for referencing your body size to product size. I always sweat and then get cold, so trying to sort out a base layer to move the moisture.

Thank you much. Still impressed with the Sanctuary stuff and being able to shoot my bow with that hulk. They’ve done great with this gear

All lacrosse boots are hard to get off. But man do they fit good when you need them to. Probly owned more then 30 pairs. Wore them every day for work. From boots to hip boots. Best dam boot for working out in that Louisiana muck.
@Craft518
@Craft518 2 года назад
Agreed. I love every pair I’ve owned BUT I just got a set of Crispi Wild Rock 800g and boy are they awesome. For the water it get no better that the Lacrosse but for hiking and stands the Crispi is winning.

Nice run down of the product. But for the price it you should never have a cold day. Good luck this season and with the new baby.

Yet to feel cold out there! I did swap the lacrosse boots for Crispi which was a huge improvement

How have they held up? I’m looking to make an upgrade in clothes, either Sitka or FL. I really like the FL camo patterns, and I think the gear itself would do good for most of our season (Ohio). However this year we really had some different weather, weather we haven’t had for a while. They’re were lots of wet snows, and windy days. Maybe I should go with Sitka to get the wind stopper with the clothes. I currently don’t have any wind stopper stuff, and I just can’t last with my scentlok gear. If it’s not windy I’m fine though. You have any thoughts on what I should do. I’ve heard FL isn’t as durable as Sitka.
@Craft518
@Craft518 3 года назад
I don’t know if I’m qualified to tell you about durability yet with only a few trips out due to a new baby in the house. The feel of both companies fabric is actually very similar for under layers. The outer layers I purchased are for different climates and situations so can’t compare those. Can confirm though at 20° I was good to go with FL in light winds; layering works well. Wind stopper is nice to have and could be useful in heavy wind but who’s hunting deer in a stand in heavy wind? I think that would be nice for western hike/hunts and bird hunting; that’s why I have Sitka for the birds. Hope it helps!

@@Craft518 thanks, that helps. I’ll go out if it’s an on and off wind, like it’ll blow pretty good for a few then die down for a few. Our wind wasn’t necessarily heavy, but strong and cold enough to cut through my clothes. It was right when our rut was just getting good, and just couldn’t stay home.
@tylerbrengle9652

FL and Sitka are both great. IMO it comes down to what pattern you prefer. If you layer properly you can cut the wind with FL, even without them having "windstopper". The Klamath for instance is very wind resistant. Also, pro tip... waterproof gear is windproof. So if you know you're going to have a windy day just wear your rain gear as your outer layer.
@dionysis84

Sitka definitely has better outer layers and are dead silent (fanatic system). First lite has better merino wool base layers. I use both and spend way to much money on em but I love nice gear. Also from upstate NY and he is right, it gets frigid!

Had an opportunity to do a 20° sit with the sanctuary and it was really good. I did have crispy wild rock 800 g boots and I did wear toe warmers with them. I don’t wear gloves unless I’m walking out and climbing so I do use hand warmers in the pockets. It was great.

Yup. All medium tops all large bottoms for proper waist fit. Worked great

So how well did they work.
@Craft518
@Craft518 Год назад
I’m impressed with it all but I went with crispi boots and rarely have a point to wear the lacrosse high boots. It’s true the light weather stuff is too light late in the season so you have to have another set for extreme cold. If I’m honest…my Sitka gear is way better and I would do that if I had to again.

Sactuary is not wind proof is it?
@archer3857
@archer3857 Год назад
I live in upstate NY as well and tired of getting cold.iI bought the sactuary set for this year along with some base layers.Mistake?
@Craft518
@Craft518 Год назад
Depends on where you hunt but it could’ve been a mistake. Sitka gear has wind stopper technology that’s great for duckhunting. I think I might sell my Firstlite outer layers and get Sitka outer layers. I love the base layers from both companies. In the long run it does what it supposed to but if you want wind and water protection from Firstlite you’ll have to get that new set that just came out.

3 layers for mid season? No thanks.
@Craft518
@Craft518 3 года назад
Mid season is 40° or lower where I am. Base, mid and Catalyst outer layer seems pretty standard but if you run hot I guess use two? Early season 40°-50° is two layers only; base and Catalyst outer layer for bow season. Later into December could be 20° or less so sanctuary outerwear over base and mid layers is pretty basic.
@randywatson9585
@randywatson9585 3 года назад
@@Craft518 right on. I overlooked where you hunt. Your climate IS more bone chilling than mine typically. Upper varies, but lower body Mid season for me is the mereno base with knarr pant. Run the sanctuary bib as well for late days. IMO one would be hard pressed to find a warmer bib. Best of luck out there
