With the addition of Wolf, I feel like the somber spirit of your videos has been transformed. A resurrection of happiness has occurred. It's great to see the fort being updated too. Keep up the good work. I appreciate your efforts.
@@davidpassword I do everyime, problem is, it disappears from our individual screens, but not from the entire comments section. Thank RU-vid, they have orchestrated and given the ok, some of the scammers even work directly for RU-vid.
I've been on your journey for quite some time.. just never commented before. I wanted to say, you and yours have been my therapy. Thank you for sharing your adventures in life, your knowledge and compassion not just in the woods but as a great father, husband and all around good man! Thanks Joe for all you do man!
It makes me so happy to see you having a good time out there again Joe. Couple times there it seemed like it was almost becoming a chore for ya. Love the happiness coming through the screen this video.
definitely still seems more like a chore than before, which makes total human sense since he's been doing similar stuff for so long, it probably is very hard to seem just as passionate as he once was. Unfortunately, his viewers have noticed and his views are taking a hit. Thankfully, there's nothing wrong with that, every channel will have highs and lows and im ready for winter joe
I am SO happy to see you at the fort again! These are some of my favorite posts. I wish I'd seen these before my grandson (16 now) grew up. What good times we would have had!
A few tips to help with Beauty being outside. If she's been recently shaved down, I'd suggest getting a vest or sweater. If you guys are open to it, you can also talk to your groomer about more appropriate hair cut for a poodle in cooler weather. When their fur is an inch or two thick, they are incredibly insulated and warm. When there is none they get cold because they have no undercoat.
You're quite literally reliving my childhood. I used to disappear into the woods behind our farm and build forts since I was probably 7 or 8...lol My dad would laugh about his girly tomboy.
Love to watch the videos of the fort. And so nice to see both dogs tagging along to experience the fort. Can't wait to see the improvements to it that you are planning.
The dogs are double trouble! 😄 It's great to see both dogs at the fort with you Joe. Your spirit has really lifted since Wolf came into your life. Glad to see that. Can't wait to see the fort when completed.
Can’t believe I blinked when the wood chips came flying to the camera. Nice time out with the dogs and can’t wait for an overnight with lots of snow on the ground and Wolf curled up underneath you.
Love the fort videos.. Hopefully it can become a lifelong spot that you visit during winter months and turn into some memorable videos with friends and family..The Fort needs a name and Doug could always carve a cool sign and other things
Love it Joe. Gotta get Doug and the boys back this winter. That was the beginning of this site, no? BTW Joe, I'm in my 3rd year of getting out doing solo camps. You've been a great inspiration and have given me the confidence to get out and do what I love.
Joe. Always like to visit the Fort. Hope you get it buttoned up to use a couple of times in the winter. Would love to see you build a PERMANANT log cabin , big enough for future family trips, maybe 12 x 14 ? But for goodness sake get yourself a good electric chainsaw !!! Love how you treat your dogs. Stay safe + best wishes for your family. Sudbury Ontario.
Wow been a minute since I’ve watched your videos but coming back now seeing you building a fort eating steak with wolf reminds me the the ole bushcraft shelter with you and scout. Also I think it would be cool to build yourself a table and chair and maybe another section for the dogs too sleep in or something
The fall colors are beautiful❣️ what an interesting fort. Nice dogs. They are fun to watch as they play. It is relaxing to watch your videos. Thanks, Joe
A tale as old as time, Beauty and the Wolf 🐕💚🐕💚 And Joe too..... Glad to see you back at Fort Joe bud. I'm excited to see what's next for its design. Hope you and the family are keeping well?
The fort's looking good with the protective walls going up. Good idea to flip the heavy log end on end to get it to the fort instead of carrying it. The fire looked really cozy and the steak...oh my! Beauty may have been curling up because she was chilly with her fur cut off. Wolfy has much more fur to keep him warm. Maybe a little doggy sweater next time for Beauty and an old blanket for them to sleep on at night to stay cozy. Enjoyed the video. Very nice.
I think all that beauty needs is a blanket or mat to lay on. A dog vest would also be something to consider for a dog that doesn't have a lot of thick fur. Gotta be a good dog parent that meets their needs so they enjoy the outdoor time with you.
Beautiful shots, the blurry and all. The ferns are coloring up so amazingly! Im a dog groomer and outdoor enthusiast! So the dogs make me so happy! Also so happy to see the Beauty girl along also! She is a huntress, all the smells! Poodles huskys and German sheaperd are my favs so you have all the best combos in my opinion!
Also here in Arkansas we are in a massive drought sooo no fire! So watching the processing of wood and fire builds my spirit when i cant go. Hanging with friends
Glad you are building the fort up as again. You seem happier there and dogs make you keep on your toes. Wolf is better outside dog. Beauty is home dog. You need both. God Bless you.
Man, was laughing at the end! Beauty couldn't wait to get back to the truck, while Wolf... HA! He'd gonna be a great outdoor companion! Slow, but solid progress on that wall! Looking forward to see the final results.
Good for you and your web page!!! Hope you can ship worldwide, I know it has constrains but you have viewers from all over the world. Greetings from Chile!!!
I know you think of Wolf as an "outdoor" dog but no reason he can't have some kind of waterproof/insulating layer between him and the earth. Beauty definitely would appreciate the same thing. Dogs like comfort same as you.
I follow you since... a while now don't remember ! I love what you doing and i started bushcraft in my country (France) because of you ! Thank you very much for what you doing and keep going ! 🙏
The thing with poodles or “Pudelhunds” as they should be called, is they were bred for waterfowl retrieval, they are legit gun dogs, even a lot of the showlines, but you have to manage their coats properly. You want about a 1 inch coat on them to avoid it being both too short that theyre cold and too long that its annoying. They need to be moving as well, when stationary, time to get a coat on them or just wrap a blanket on them in camp and leave them too it. I have a poodle mix and she excels in the outdoors, i just have to manage her body temperature in the winter like you would manage all dogs in the heat if that makes sense!
Have you considered getting Beauty some type of durable, insulated, heavy-duty dog coat? She may not have as much of an undercoat as Wolf does. I'd at least give it that a try before leaving her at home. Maybe then she could enjoy herself outdoors more. When she was lying down and curled up she was just trying to keep herself warm. Thanks for sharing your adventures with all of us.
Nice seeing you at the fort. The. Steak looked delicious. I hope the pieces you gave your dogs did not have any garlic or onion on them. Both are toxic to dogs. But I’m sure your ar careful with your canine pals
When that back wall is completed it's gonna look awesome. Think you should make a swinging door or drawbridge! Will you put another window the other side? Both wolf and beauty are so well behaved and so comfortable around the fire.
Great to see you at the shelter, nice work on rebuilding it. Did you ever find out what was in the woods making weird noises, in one of your previous videos?? I was really frightened for you!
