Wonderful guitar project. Great problem solving. Those interchangeable bearing are a blessing. Thank you for sharing. Everyone stay safe, happy, cool and healthy.
Awesome work.. I think lol, I know nothing about guitars either but it on my build bucket list. Had me worried I missed a memo with the 18th of an inch for a minute. We all suffer word salad now and then, don't sweat it.
I am amazed by the varied talents you exhibit in woodworking. Nicely done! When you say a particular aspect of a job is "nerve-wracking" it makes me take notice!!! LOL
Nicely done, great fix with the electrical tape would not have thought of that I think, just reminded me I’ve got one of my son’s guitars in the workshop he wanted refurbishing but now he lives the other side of the world not sure when I’ll get round to it 👌👌👌👍👍👍🇦🇺
Awesome job! I like your problem solving skills, that’s the best part of the videos. A fellow at my club shop makes guitar blanks he goes through bandsaw blades like crazy. He hasn’t figured out relief cuts would help. He doesn’t take suggestions very well.
The advantage of getting the blank with pre-made holes is if anything happens whole making them it is not your problem to fix! Lol! Also the advantage of accuracy of a cnc machine not a liot of wiggle room with the components! Nice job!
Nice change of pace and interesting project. Thank you Caitlin. FYI, Matt Jackson, Next Level Carpentry, creates his templates with strips of wood / MDF super-glued together leaving an accurate pattern for routing. This method is a little easier and dare I say quicker than the method you show making a template for a pick-up. Keep up your great work and these interesting videos.
Interesting, I recently finished making a guitar. Did a repeating pattern like scales. Was a major pain to do, almost wish I went this simple wood blank method. Be glad this is all your doing. Building the neck, wiring and then dressing the frets was a huge issue.
