This is the final part of my vlog series on building the Musicmakers Jolie harp kit. Here, I install the Camac levers and regulate them to produce the semitone change.
7:52 I said here I was worried about the steep angle between the bridge pins and tuning pins. I’ve since realised this probably helps to avoid the lever pushing the string out of the groove in the bridge pin.
To fix the misaligned levers ... remove the lever and drill our the misaligned hole with a 1/8" bit. Measure the depth of the hole and cut a piece of 1/8" dowel just a bit short of the depth. Glue in the dowel. Allow time for the glue to dry then remount the lever using an awl to mark the new position prior to drilling. I also suggest using using small washers under the mounting screws.
