Thank you Jason! I've just started my adventure into building a studio scale X-wing. This Video couldn't have come at a better time. That's called timing! Just about have all my donor kits. Look forward to more videos. Thanks for sharing the wisdom.
Really nice engineering on the armature, and the rear you can see you ran into the same problems they had when covering up the armature , and detailing it . WIngs just look so correct . Thick
So do you plan to release the 3D scans of the ILM Model (Which everyone should have access to) or are you going to keep it to yourself and your "Inner circle"?
Thank you for finally clarifying whether you guys would be selling the files, I've been hoping for such a long time that you'd announce 'all is ready to go, it costs $x'. I'm terribly disappointed but hey, you guys are pros and I can see you're personally torn about the decision...is $20k an close estimate 😉💵. I know you guys aren't fools, but to quote a certain someone "you're throwing away a fortune here, don't be a fool".
What’s the point of having the metal shaft go through the entire dragster body of the x-wing forward of the wings? It seems to me that it’s unnecessary considering it’s a static display model and therefore the extra length of the metal offers unnecessary strength. To mitigate sag music wire on the sides could be used allowing for a fully detailed cockpit..
Thanks for doing this, J. I've said it before, but please feel free to go into excruciating detail -- as if you were explaining the process to a group of small children.
