probably the biggest card to be built for the North Eastern so going to be spread over two parts. as with me the way I do things I guess I tend to build these card kits the hard way, adding and changing things as I go along the way. there are a few tips that may be of use....happy modelling..................

When I did my windows I done different different colours on each diamond took ages but I found having the windows the other way around it was easier to colour them in individually

Cheer's Dave adding the tinted colour to the windows does add a bit of realism to the church. it will finished this weekend with a bit of luck, thanks again Tony

Hi Tony, Very nice modification. I cant make one without getting in a mess let alone change it! It will look good and the stain glass window effect, well you must be pleased with that. Amazing. Watching with interest. Cheers, Jerry

cheer's Jerry yes so far so good its all coming along nicely. hopefully it will be finished at the weekend...then it will be the church grounds and finishing of the track scene at the east end of the station....thanks for watching regards tony

Excellent bit of modeling work Tony think i would have cheated and swapped the walls around rather then cut out a whole new window and adding a piece to block the original window. looks great mate look forward to see the next update

That's a lovely looking kit Tony and I have to admit that I bought this too a year or so ago, I part built it up but thought it was too big and overpowering for where I wanted it which was in the village so I never completed it or used it, but on your layout it will look superb and yours is big enough to warrant a church of that size. It is a lovely kit and you are making it even better with your magic touch, well done mate and look forward to seeing it finished and on the layout. ............Graham

Hi Graham I'm surprised you haven't used your Metcalfe kit as you have a large layout yourself. your right though it is a large kit and the space I have in mind for it would fit in there nicely but it could the limelight away from the High shields station. but in real life on entering high shields station the holy trinity church was there in the space where its going. but that's another story...thanks again regards Tony

I have a reasonably large layout Tony but the church was too 'grand' for the small Lakeside village, in reality they would have only had a small church for the small congregation at the time it was built. The village has of course grown over the years since the railway was built. ............Graham

Exactly Tony, that history video really has laid down the foundations for what happens and has happened through the ages. ............Graham
