Thanks Tom! I'm glad you noticed, even though this was a relatively straight forward project, I feel like I put about 10x the work into setting up the shots, editing(no fast forward, can you believe it!?)... Not to mention recording music for it. This definitely kept things interesting for me and made for quite the new experience.
So that's how you get a welding cart wide enough to fit both machines on one shelf...make you're own! Love the music, we're totally grabbing that track!
I had to watch this twice because the first time I just sat back, closed my eyes and listened to the music…I hope that's compliment enough Zack. Beautiful edit, details, build and music…Outta da park ! : )
I really like the music. Right off the bat is was good. And the welding is nice too!! Thanks for the good ideas on bottle retention. I never did like cheesy light duty chains...
Okay, so I looked at the run-time and thought, "Hmm... only 6:58 for a welding cart video - probably a pretty simple project, but I hope I'm not disappointed since I really like the longer videos..." Totally NOT disappointed! You took a bog-standard simple project and literally kicked it up more than just a notch. I was really liking the camera angles and the short, punchy, cuts that clearly matched well with the music. Both Mrs. Talesfromtheworkbench and myself remarked that it was "really nice music," then I saw you playing and remembered from the Instagram post that you'd recorded your own music. Wow... just wow... completely blown away. Dude, you're setting the bar pretty high here, and I love it. Keep up with the great videos, and now - music! Love that you're putting it out there for other folks to use the music you composed in their videos. I for sure will try to work some of it into my videos - just hope my videos will be worthy of the music.
Zack, holy s***, the rate you are improving with that new camera is insane. You made a shop project into art. I normally don't enjoy shop projects, but loved this. The videography, editing, composing and playing your own music (something I'd love to do someday)....this video just took everything to another level. A few more of this caliber and I think you'll blow past 100k
ZH Fabrications I've got lots of those super ambitious ideas rolling around. One day. Thanks for the free use music. That's really cool of you guys and what a great track. Check out Tab Benoit. I think you'll like him.
This is by far the best-produced video on your channel. Production value is near the bottom of my 'reasons to subscribe' list, but it's nice to see you finally searching for your style.
Thank you Matthew! Yeah, this is the first time I've really put a lot of thought into setting up the shots, and editing the video. Also---No fast forward!!! :)
Zac got to tell ya I’ve been following you for a while and I just want to say Thank You for leaving that cubicle job and do what you’re doing. Your work, art, leather, metal and wood is just incredible amazing things you do for the community. Thank you truly
I like the take on the editing/filming, so much work there. Save your flat disks, take a twisted wire cup to the rusty sheet first, it'll knock away most of the rust.
Wow...I know I took a swing at the steel rose and the x-frame table, but this music track took it to a whole new level of awesomeness...I'm not a musician by any imagination but this music was fantastic...great stuff brother looking forward to more!
By far, the best welding and educational video. Cart is perfect, I will be copying the design. Thoroughly enjoyed the music and design aspects. Music borders on 70's-80's mellow rock. Heard a little Procol Harem influence. Outstanding work.
Outstanding man. Liked hearing your perspective shift on the podcast about finding purpose in upping your production value (you didn't need it, but it's still so nice to watch). Cheers
I’ve got 3 comments. 1 - I’m disappointed the “coasters” never made it to the build. 2 - I’d like an entire album and will definitely stay tuned for your music. 3 - The video was great! Keep up the great work man.
Thanks Davis! I think I'll do a coaster video in a month or so, I'm sort of saving it as filler between my large projects. Stay tuned for the music, my buddy Jon and I are on the move :)
Love the music. I love it when I do a project to make everything I need for that project and now your making the music to go along with the great videos. Has to be a good feeling for you. Thank you.
And he writes music and plays guitar too! No fair. LOL. Nice design and build on the cart. I cut the metal for a cart over a year ago, still sitting on my welding table :(
Zach, great design on the cart! Great music as well! In the future do yourself a favor and bolt your castles on, when one goes bad so much easier to unholy than to cut welds, ask me how I know.
