I love your build so much gives me so much inspiration for my next build after my 95 eclipse gstx. Gs and rs are very common around me (finding one without rust is a different story) My buddy and iv talked about it alot but instead of a "true" Evo engine we'll be using the kia G4JS 2.4 engine (poor mans 4g64) it'll be amazing maybe after the builds are done the three of us will have to meet up at MOD
Ya the G4JS is so so underrated but I'm ok with that just means there not that expensive or hard to come by for the people who know of they're potential. Iv also thought of just keeping the optima and making it a hell of sleeper but going that decision the awd swap would not be very easy to do vs the eclipse

Damn this car has Chrysler 420A body, an EVO 8 engine, a 3g eclipse Tranny, a Gen 2 30000GT something(forgot part) and will soon have a 2G-B GSX AWD setup.

I do however If you would like to save money you can rundown to your local farm supply and pick up some steel barrel rings and a couple chunks of rubbermaid trashcan or big foot door stops have gotten me through thick and thin on my 97 Gs with the x swap. I believe I've had them installed for about 5 years now and all I used was rustoleam as rust prevention

I just wanted to say... THANK YOU for the link , it's exactly what I needed for the swap , specific detailed instructions. Do you have any others? Also do you know how different the swap will be on a GS spyder as opposed to just a regular gs/rs ?? The spyder comes with a slightly different engine setup ( at least that's what i've heard ) the spyder is a 4g64 not a 420a
@@joealbarella2493 doing the awd swap is the basically the same for all the body style. To do a motor swap on a spider is easier than the 420a. Since the 4g63 is on the same side. I don't have any links for the swap but check out dsmtuner. That is where most of the old post are.

I need some help please very serious i need a gearbox code fm33 out of the 94 eclipes i have a 1.8 turbo engine tryin to find some valves also to upgrade
To keep it short in order to use that trans you will have to fabricate an adapter plate and a new cup for the starter however a 4g15 trans will fit. As for valves on such an old motor pick your favorite company and directly write an email to them in some builds ferrera has taken valves and cut them down to size for us. I would hop on the classifieds pages and look for a parts car or maybe you'll get lucky and find someone with a trans sitting around. Cross post between pages!
HEY!! Listen so I’m about to buy a 5 speed 2015 lancer with 10k miles for 8300 but it’s base model. There’s an auto 2015 lancer for 8500 with AWD and heated seats etc with 50k miles. How much would it probably cost me ball park to swap the auto for a 5 speed so I can have a AWD 5 speed without spending 20/30k on an evo. OR haha would it be easier to just buy the 5 speed with low miles and source a awd unit from an auto?? Please reply man haha, also keep making videos because this is awesome.
You would have to look on the lancer forums and see if the swap is possible. I think you’re better off buying an Evo at that point. It’ll be cheaper in the long run
