You put to much in the center. Sense you have a circle enclosure you should have put the rocks whatever on the sides so that the animals could have room to swim. Think maybe one long and large rock to the side covering 20% of the enclosure and the rest open water and plants.

@@devonjenkins6829 normally, I’d agree with you. But keep in mind, those circles in the middle are floating. So the caiman gets the joy of swimming underneath something and feeling secure. This is very common in the wild where they’re found by fallen trees and natural partial dams. (Spoiler: I have a Peru video featuring some caiman coming soon!)

Thanks Shaggy! Fun fact, the Alligatoridae family split in the late Cretaceous period about 56-65 million years ago. (Nerdy, I know) So Caiman are super special for the fact that their development makes them a lot more agile.

I remember watching youre first enclosure when u just gor him. I had mine also 3 years ago and a similair enclosure. Right now i just build a new enclosure

This is wayyy to small. My friend has a pet Cayman and he has a whole room for himself. With a little pond and a Spot for a warming lamp. She has a very big garden where he can roam free and has his own 50 square Meter pond.

Nice enclosure, though it's definitely not large enough to house an adult caiman long term, if at all. The caiman shown in the video is a juvenile, so I'm confused as to why the title insinuates that the enclosure is for an "adult" caiman. No disrespect, just genuinely curious.

Absolutely agree. Not enough Space for a fully grown Cuviers Dwarf Caiman and it definitely still looks a bit young

I’ve built up quite the collection of it over time. While a lot of other decor has fallen apart over time, I’ve had pieces of this that I’ve had with me for years.

I was just moving her to work on that side. This was easier and less stressful. Soon I’ll have my Peru video up with catching caiman in the creeks, with no hook lol

Me carrying around my friends pet Cayman because he demandet it: "okayyyyyy...." He comes when you tell him "come here". He stays when you tell him "wait". You have to work with your Cayman and she has to learn to listen. Everything else can become very dangerous. Like a dog or a big cat.

It's a Cuviers Dwarf Caiman, the smallest Crocodilian. I think a bit bigger than a Cat. I recommend to take a Look at the Video by Clints Reptiles if you want to see how big it is compared to a Human

@@I-like-frogs0 Depends on where you live, if you're within the US, 45 of the 50 states have some sort of restrictions on the private possession of crocodilians. Some states require a permit, whereas others prohibit it entirely. I'd suggest doing some research into your local and state rules and regulations regarding keeping crocodilians and you'll find the answer you're looking for.
