In a quiet patch of forest, life is about to be turned upside down for its animal residents - the ants are coming. Spiders, scorpions and even forest crabs don't stand a chance. As food runs out, the ants, driven on by the ever-hungry grubs in the nest, have no choice but to attack the not so easily defeated termites. Armed with chemical weapons and fearsome jaws that could crush an ant to pulp, they're the ants' toughest adversaries. From the raw terror of battle to the inner-workings of an ant colony, this is television as you've never seen it before.

I was so terribly cruel to ants long ago.. but knowing that they were still living creatures made me grow soft for them. Still, I don't like them invading our house, for sure. However, I'll leave them alone as long as they don't scavenge for any of OUR beverages. Because, if someone eyed a ant hill. they may get defensive. Just as we don't want invaders in our homes! Even other humans, as strangers can be dangerous if we are unaware of their intentions. Didn't need to write the majority of this reply, but i did, and I'm keeping it this way.

When i was a kid i would search for worms , put them at the entrance and watch them drag it inside .I must have been worshipped like a God who offers them food

I'm very late to this but just incase anyone else wonders about this. The ants can actually open up and close opens to help control the temperature and humidity inside the bivouac. It's pretty cool.

Well ant nests have multiple entrances... and they can move soil in a different area to make a new entrance :P

Well these ants look like army ants plugging an entrance hole won't kill them immediately cause they will push that rock immediately or make another exit. These ants are known for their collective strength moving a rock won't be a problem. And if the rock is too big they can find another hole through their sheer workforce. Whatever humans do as long as it does not kill these guys in a direct manner won't really be a problem for them. There is a reason why ants are very numerous and it lies in their ability to make collective choices and amazing teamwork.

I really don't understand why the strong ant thing is parroted so often. Translate an ants body to the size and body mass of a human, and it wouldn't be able to move. Vice versa, shrink a human down to the size of an ant, and due to our muscle system and bone density we would be some of the most physically powerful insects.
